"The hotel is close to the Rotterdam Train Station, and also nearby to an open mall, and some very nice eateries and shops. The buffet breakfast. 10 STARS, and the staff are truly customer oriented! Our room, although clean, was a NEGATIVE! First, NO LUGGAGE RACK (folding stand) in the room. NOR, IS THERE A SAFE FOR VALUABLES, or a REFRIGERATOR, or even a MICROWAVE. The open closet and a tiny shelf above the coffee and tea service is the only area (aside from the countertop in the bathroom) to store other essentials you need. Or, leave it all in your luggage. FORTUNATELY, THE BED AND PILLOWS WERE QUITE COMFORTABLE. THE BLOW DRYER IN THE BATHROOM WORKS FINE.
2ND MAJOR NEGATIVE: Elevators available, but some do not work, and the major one that goes to Floor 0 (Bottom floor that takes you to the entrance of the hotel or garage) was “IFFY!” Upon checking out (time was of the essence), we encountered this problem. The other operational elevator, WOULD NOT GO BELOW FLOOR 1. We encountered these issues during our stay. And that’s when, DAVID (A kind-hearted, dining room staff member) RESCUED US. The front desk clerk, was occupied. Stairs located by the front desk, but luggage impossible to carry by ourselves. David saw me running back and forth hoping to find someone to help? Upon hearing our problem, he grabbed our 2 suitcases and bolted down the stairs. We followed at his heels! He refused a tip, but agreed to a photo added to our review. Stay here ONLY for the STAFF & LOCAL."
