「Ionian Arches is a really well located, clean, family run place. The photos on the listing definitely glamorise it a bit - e.g we chose a superior room with garden view, which actually looked out onto the driveway and some plants. We were also a bit disappointed to find our breakfast is only offered in the summer - June onwards - but luckily there are lots of cafes in walking distance. Our shower also didn’t work great due to the water coming out in one pressurised stream from the middle. But...

「The hotel staff and food served were excellent, however, the hotel is situated on a steep hill, not great for people with back issues. The hotel is outdated, the sofa in the room was very uncomfortable and the TV was a small 18 inches and we couldn’t get it to change to the English language! The hotel is not near the Old Town but at least a 40min drive away! We had to hire a car which was great to get around in. I booked this as Expedia had this as a 4 star but it is more a 3 star!
