9/10 Wonderful! (600 reviews)
Good for the location and a decent bed. Unfortunately the floors were not swept/vacuumed and there were a few cobwebs in the corners that I thought were pretty obvious. The toilet broke twice within two days which was inconvenient as well. The boxed/bottled water that was in the room was dusty and probably had been there for a while. I was sure if it was free or if I would be charged so I left that alone. Lastly, I didn’t have a do not disturb tag in my room like I had seen on other doors but I had a button that I could press that said dnd. I had it pressed the entire time I was there and someone still came in and moved all my belongings off the bed to make it. Overall, not anything special for the price but I guess it does the job.

8.8/10 Excellent! (8,157 reviews)
Location was perfect - didn’t realize hotel was 12 years old - wasn’t cheap- rooms were tiny bed was maybe a full at best. No lotion, they had bar soap, luggage is stored in a room no check in of it or out so free for all never know if it’s safe. No late check out - check in early $25 fee which was ridiculous as I said hotel was not cheap. Everything in the room was old and felt old-blankets etc. I’ve stayed at the Biltmore Hotel also 100 years old, totally difference and cheaper in price to be honest but staff was very nice and as I said location was great.

"This was my 3rd time staying at the Vater. The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. The breakfast for 7 euros is excellent. And the hotel is well situated downtown within an easy walk of the bus station. As always, a true highlight of the hotel is the front desk staff. Marie and Isabella are ..."
