"We stayed here before hiking the nakasendo, it was an extremely lovely hotel with a beautiful public bath.
The staff were so lovely, and we much appreciated their service"
"Peaceful retreat in the forest:
This gorgeous 12 room modern hotel is an oasis of calm! Shuttle pick ip from Nagisu station or the end of the Nagasendo trail parking lot makes this hotel easily accessible for those who really want to get off of the beach track! The hotel is surrounded by greenery. It boasts an outstanding traditional restaurant with an incredible kaiseki set menu for dinner. Breakfast is also provided. Private rooms for dining are available. The beautiful onsen has outdoor wooden baths as well, allowing one to soak in nature, literally!"
"The room was super comfortable and roomy. The soaking tub in the bathroom was amazing because you could have it hot all the time.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented.
You should note that some of the rooms are not close to the soaking pools or the restaurant. You have to go through a locked door to the street, walk for 5 minutes, enter another building for the soaking pool and restaurant.
This place has one small pool for soaking so if you're looking for an onsen experience it would not be here."
"The hotel is excellent especially the hotel staff. Although we were late, the shuttle bus was still searching for us in the train station. He also led the tour for star watching at night and it was amazing.
The hotel is really traditional and the meal was so good. We loved the outdoor and private onsen. Environment was exceptional peaceful in the forest."
"What a great find! Everything was outstanding: from check in to check out: super friendly and helpful staff, spotless place, very well organised, great food, plentiful breakfast,… I wish I had booked for an extra night. The whole family loved it!"
"Our experience with this hotel was overall good! Staff was kind and friendly, facilities were a little dated and the lighting inside the room needs updating, pure white light is not the most pleasant, however the traditional Japanese bedroom experience was very cool! Breakfast was also awesome! That alone made this experience super cool!"
