"This was our fourth time staying here. Every time gets better and better. The staff was friendly and conscientious and she remembered my name (or memorized the units) when I checked out. This property is close to the south side beaches, the Poipu Shopping Village. The athletic club is top notch with a pool, workout facility, hot tub, and bar and restaurant. If you’re looking for family friendly with a kitchen I’m not sure this can be beat."

"We stayed at Castle Po’ipū Shores and, while the location is absolutely unreal, the unit itself felt pretty dated. Lots of rusty fixtures, and some of the room amenities were subpar—think “bring-your-own-screwdriver” energy. That said, it’s hard to be too mad when you’re watching sea turtles and sunsets from your lanai. Let’s be real: no one flies to Hawaii to hang out in their room. If you’re coming for the beaches, scenery, and proximity to all things Kaua’i, this place delivers. But if you’re squeamish about the occasional cockroach or feel uneasy around questionable metalwork, maybe book elsewhere—or just make sure your tetanus shot is current and lean into the charm. Would we stay here again? Maybe… if the price is right and we pack some WD-40."
