It was close to some tourist places walk-distance. I did not like the place in general and I did not like that once you do the check-out you have to take your bag with you, they do not offer a service for travels who want to move the same day to other places and do not want to take the baggage
Very clear instructions by emails after booking.
Effective communication by English via email or face to face. Very helpful staff.
Excellent cleanliness in common area.
Walking distance to both train stations and has bus stop in front of the hostel.
Has hot water, coffee & tea supplies & clear instructions on cooking ramen by microwave oven.
Could be better if there is a pantry for simple cooking with an individual sink.
Will return to this hostel when revisiting Mt. Fuji area again
Highly recommend this hostel for anyone staying around the Fuji area! As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed by the friendly staff, who all spoke English. I was shown a tour of the hostel which was helpful and got to choose which bed to stay in (tip - don't sleep next to the dehumidifier, it's got a constant hum, the hostel is not to blame for this!). Michael was very helpful when providing info and tips about climbing Mount Fuji, without his guidance I wouldn't have been able to climb. Nice and quiet area which has good transport links within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!
It was ok, the room smelled funny, wouldn’t choose it again. The staff were warm and friendly but misunderstood us and directed us incorrectly. That was frustrating. The place was clean and comfortable besides the strange room smell and poor lighting. It’s what I would expect for the price.
The owner and his wife were really lovely, and gave us a huge amount of information about local places to eat - as well as some excellent tips for our hike up Mount Fuji.
The hostel is really nicely laid out, very clean, close to lots of food options (restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores) - and has an incredible view of Mount Fuji from the communal indoor and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed our stay!!
Really friendly staff. Awesome spot. Really felt like a true hostel experience. Very clean. Never had a problem with anything during my stay. I would stay again and recommend to anyone who was travelling in the area!

Far away from me fuji.
This hostel was a long way from no where, and there was very little to do or see in this town.
We should have stayed in Kawguchiko which has a lot to offer and unrestricted views of Mt Fuji and access.
The place is totally clean and friendly, tha attention and willingness to help of the staff and owner is totally worth it... But at least my bed was squicking all night long even if i moved the neck a bit, so for people with light sleep like me it was a rough night.
I would totally come back to the place tho... just a little maintenance might be needed for the wooden bunks

Liked: Cleanliness
I was given a key for locker number 10 for valuables, but accidentally inserted it into locker number 9, and the locker opened. When I told the staff about this, they gave me another key for number 10, and when I tried opening locker number 9 again, it opened. The staff member said, "But we haven't had any problems so far."

Very clean, modern amenities, tons of information and VERY reasonable!
The proprietors Michael and Kazuko offer the kind of hospitality that will bring you back!
Next time I go to the Mt. Fuji area I’ll stay there!
