This Ryokan does not do food of any kind. Inaccurate description on expedia. It is close to everything in the area.. Yukatas provided are quite small. Onsen is small but adequate. Bit wear and tear but expected for old building. Staff where polite and helpful.

Beautiful Ryokan
We loved this ryokan. It was beautiful, well-located, and had its own onsen. Also there’s excellent hiking nearby. Perfect!

This Ryokan is not fancy or modern but was perfect for what we needed. We wanted a traditional experience and a few days away from the sounds of Tokyo. Kamiobo is located in the neighbourhood of Aroma Onsen, a quiet village just outside of Kobe. Kamiobo felt like we were staying at a B&B. It was comfortable, unique and traditional. We used the Onsen every morning and night and they had no issues with our tattoos! Each morning we drank our tea in our sunroom which was a nice way to start the day. Sleeping on the floor was quite the experience but this stay will definitely help define our trip to Japan. Only negative is that Aroma Onsen is a bit of a sleepy town, restaurants close early and there are limited food and drink options after 8pm.

Pleasant stay.
Pleasant stay at a traditional Onsen. The baths were very relaxing and room was clean. Only issue was lack of any meal service.

Not what I expected
For the price I expected there to be some food. I was surprised to find there was none and was disappointed with Expedia's description. Most of the overnight guests eat in their hotels and ryokans, so finding a meal is difficult. The bath water was excellent--but that is shared by all the lodges. The bathroom, on the other hand, down cold concrete steps, was simply a bare, tiled room with two tubs. The price is probably common to the area since it is so famous, but compared to all the other places I've stayed at in Japan, I did not think the value was there.

The food and service was amazing - we had traditional breakfast and kaiseki and beef sukiyaki for dinner and really enjoyed it. The hotel was well maintained and the room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly Thanks for such a wonderful and relaxing stay! We cannot wait to come back!

Convenient, quiet and cheap Ryokan.
Room and staff were great. Probably not the best onsen experience (water was good - the place itself, with the spa, a bit gloomy), but still nice and relaxing hotel.

Every things are very good except the Hot Spring!

大浴場は良い．部屋がバス付きでないことは最悪．手洗いのお湯も出なかった（個別加熱方式で，従業員がスイッチを入れ忘れていた）．部屋からの眺望も良くない．

喧騒を離れて一人で過ごすにはうってつけかも
両親の供養の巡礼途中で宿泊しました。有馬は道幅が狭く、複雑で、散々迷ってようやくたどり着きました。少し古めかしいお宿でしたが、お部屋は広く清潔で、くつろげました。お風呂は、源泉に一番近く、濃厚で、一日中歩き回った疲れがすぐとれました。二日間冬日のような寒さでしたが、冷え性を忘れるくらい身体が芯から温まって快適に過ごすことができました。朝食も美味しかったです。お世話をしてくださったおばちゃんがとても親切で親しみやすかったです。 方向音痴で散々道に迷って到着が遅くなってしまい、迎えに来てくださった方をずいぶん待たせてしまい、ご迷惑をかけてしまいました。ごめんなさい。

房間很好，不過要對溫泉有心理準備
房間很好，但溫泉房是一間密室，而且感覺很舊，而牆壁因被礦物黏附，感覺好像不大舒服。不過金泉泉水真的很好。

좋았습니다.
정말 좋았습니다. 체크인시간보다 조금 늦었는데도 친절하게 대해주셔서 정말 감사했습니다. 방은 깔끔하고 단정한 느낌이었습니다. 온천은 제공된 이미지와 같습니다. 작지만 물이 좋습니다. 조금 불편했던 점은 역과의 거리가 조금 멀었고 일본 가옥 자체가 우풍이 있어 잘때 좀 추웠습니다. 하지만 전체적으로 매우 만족스럽습니다.

오래된 멋진 료칸
따뜻하고 좋은 료칸. 지난번에 아리마온천에 갔을땐 숙소가 셔틀로 움직여야해서 좀 불편했으나, 이 료칸은 걸어서 갈수있어 좋음. 주인장도 친절하고 욕탕은 많이 작고 아담하지만 물이 뜨끈뜨끈 아주 뜨거워서 찬물을 한참 틀어 식힌 뒤 들어감. 단점은 밤 11시가 되면 문을 잠근다는 점과 같은 시각에 온천도 중단하는 점. 나머지는 다 괜찮았음.

Good Ryokan!
한적하고 조용해서 좋았습니다. 일본 전통 료칸을 저렴하게 느낄 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 투숙객이 많았으면 자체 온천탕을 즐길 수 있었겠으나 저 혼자뿐인 관계로 그것까지는 못했습니다. 민박 같은, 수수한 정이 느껴지는 료칸이었습니다. 추천합니다.

부모님 모시고 2박 동안편히 지내다 왔어요. 가격대비 훌륭한 료칸입니다!!!!!
부모님을 모시고 2박을 편하게 보내고 왔습니다. 전통료칸답게 객실은 세월이 느껴졌지만 깨끗했어요. 목욕탕도 세월이 느껴지지만 물이 매우 좋아요^^ 직원분들도 매우 친절하고, 친근했습니다. 아침 식사는 훌륭했어요 맛있습니다!! 호텔의 위치는 예쁜골목에 료칸이 위치해 매우 좋았으나, 차로 갈 경우 골목이 작아 조금 힘들었습니다. 료칸 바로 앞은 아니지만 가까운 거리에 넓은 무료주차장이 있습니다.

소박하며 편안 료칸
오랜 역사의 숙소라 그런지 복잡한 구조에 오래되어 보이긴 하나 숙소 자체는 깨끗하고 편안합니다. 이불이 푹신해서 잘 잤습니다.

처음 이용한 료칸이었는데 실망이었습니다..
체크인이 늦어서 늦게들어갔었는데 저녁 9시이후에는 아에 문을 잠겨놔서 투숙객이 문을 열어주어서 겨우 들어갔습니다. 카운터에 직원분은 영어는 아예 안되시구요 일본말만 자꾸하시네요. 근처 다이코노유 온천을 꼭 이용해보고 싶어서 갔었는데 숙소는 가격대비 별로였습니다. 흡연은 일층 카운터에서만 가능합니다. 객실에 샤워실이 없는건 알았지만 막상 가보니 매우 불편합니다.

Overall good price and cozy place during my trip.
It's a really near from Arimaonsen bus termianl (only takes about 5 min and easy to find it.)and located really clean and quite neighborhood. Even the host could not speak english well but really polite and willing to help me. The room was clean and proper size for 2 people. It's a good room&spa to stay with my family and the breakfast was really nice. Overall good price and cozy place during my trip. I like this place so I’ll be back when I come to Kobe.

可怕的浴室
唯一不滿是旅館的公共浴室裝修實在太簡陋，簡陋得我連它們個温泉也不敢浸，寧願到附近的銀之湯浸，但整體是很不錯，非常傳統的旅館

위치와 다다미바미좋은숙소
아리마온천고속터미널과 전철역에서 가까워서좋았습니다 방안 또한 깨끗한다다미방이었고 1000엔 아침조식맛있습니다 다만 온천탕이 좁고 오래된시설이었지만 서비스와 직원친절도는 좋았습니다

當年因該很有規模～如今有點敵不過新旅館的 正統日式旅館
很傳統的日式旅館，喜歡塌塌米的人可以體驗一下！ 飯店的地理環境很好，在溫泉老街的中央，溫泉池有點老舊，感覺是很有年代感的傳統旅館。另外有跟旅館點日式傳統早餐，很好吃價錢也很實惠。 此外，老闆人很好，雖然旅館到纜車車站沒有接駁車，可是可以請他幫忙免費接送。 唯一遺憾的事我在第二天早上起床時發現有一隻8-10公分的純黑色蜈蚣爬到我的背上，在聽到我肝腸寸斷的尖叫聲後，老闆為了表達歉意，有送一隻他們的擺飾品作為補償，也算是誠意十足啦＝‘’＝。

溫馨舒適的日式小旅店
相當簡潔溫馨的家庭式旅店，老闆一家人客氣有禮。溫泉雖不像飯店那樣氣派，但小小的很有日式風味，因旅館小、住客不多，所以泡湯一點也不會壅擠。榻榻米客房很舒適，有廁所和梳洗空間，還有明亮的陽台令人覺得愉快。
