What a nice place! Views are spectacular from the hilltop. All staff were extremely helpful and communicative. Clean rooms and all spaces within the property are clean and tidy. Would definitely return.

It was in a very beautiful setting, but quite a way out of town, so hiring a scooter was preferable. The staff were wonderul, the breakfast really good in a restaurant over looking the beautiful sea.

Nice place to stay. Great pool. Spacious rooms and very comfy beds and linen. Beach is pretty, but can be windy on this side of the island. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is good, but mostly American food, not many Thai options.

Beautiful property. The staff were incredible and so kind, friendly and willing to help. The beach was private and we didnt experience any sandflies. The scooter we rented was in great condition. Snorkels and paddleboards were complimentary which was a nice touch. Breakfast was wonderful. The hilltop rooms had beautiful views, the only thing i wish is that there were more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels but they do provide a rack outside. A perfect stay! Thank you to the incredible staff at Mira Montra, we loved our stay here.

We stayed in a Hilltop view room, beautiful room, great bathroom and bed, walk out balcony was great to have. Food was good, drink options great. Motor bike rental was easy and a must for the island. View from the lobby restaurant was excellent. Resort provided transportation to and from the pier. All the staff were friendly and very nice. I will stay here again

quiet and comfortable location.

It is quiet and comfortable environment, great if you don't like crowds and seek a location where you have the beach almost to yourself, relax and do nothing type of holiday. Only improvements I can suggest is to the food quality and breakfast options which is not what is shown in the menu plus maybe some eco -friendly environmental improvements and spotty Wi-Fi issues (but then again this maybe a plus point to get away from the world!!). Always smiling and helpful staff.

Ok hotel but expensive for what you get

The hotel is ok but it is expensive for what you get. The room was clean and was serviced daily but things like erratic water pressure and a lack of a coffee machine (surprising at this price) spoiled the enjoyment. Some of the staff in the reception were cold and unfriendly although the restaurant staff and hotel drivers were the opposite. Good location, but so do several other hotels on this island. Overall ok but expensive for what is offered.

Nice hotel a bit secluded

It is a nice hotel with a beauteful beach and pool. They help you with all the service you need. They pick you up at the dock and take you to the hotel. The location sina bit secluded. A few kilometers from the restaurants. You can rent a scouter or golfcart. I have sen that they used to have bikes. I wished they still had them. You can bortom a kayak but only use it around the propery. You can’t paddel to the near island. Not sure why you used to be able to do that. The food is good and a beautiful view from the restaurant.

the facility is very nice and clean. the beach is very clean as staff clean it twice a day. we booked 2 beach front rooms and 1 hillside room. all the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. this side of the island got wind and bigger waves in the morning, but calm down in the late afternoon. the breakfast was good and got variety of selection. we had one dinner at the hotel. the food was ok. there are many good restaurants nearby, so we decided to try them out. they also hv their own golf cart and scooter for rent. staffs are very friendly and helpful. they even provide coconut oils and mosquito repellent for free at the reception area. there are sea flies on this side of the island. coconut oil helps. it wasn’t fun getting bitten by one. the hotel also has snacks hours which is also free. my mom enjoyed the sandwich and corn dog during snack hours. we really enjoy our time there. highly recommended

Great Hotel that cares about its guests

We went to koh mak in the low season (late July 2023). Mira Montra seemed one of the few hotels still fully operational. After exploring the island, it seemed to me also one of the best and best maintained. As most other resorts, it is rather small, which is nice as staff really pay attention to their guests. We had a hilltop room, which gave a partial view of the sea and the bay (some view obstruction because of trees). The hotel is located on the beach, with direct access to the beach and the sea. Guests in "Beach front" rooms walk straight onto the beach. The room was very clean, large and comfortable. Good AC, good WIFI everywhere, hot shower all the time etc. Less than one minute walk from the hill-top room to the beach. The hotel offers free peddle boats, free kayaks, free snorkling gear, free games (board games, pingpong), free afternoon tea/coffee. free pick up and drop off at the pier. Scooters for rent at 300 THB per 24 hours. Breakfast is good, with nice (free of charge) choice of coffees and teas. Food (beyond Breakfast) in the restaurant was only so-so. The only downside (and not the hotel's fault!!!) was that I got bitten big time by sandfleas on the beach. This seems to be an overall problem in Koh Mak, but i was told also in neighboring Koh Chang and Koh Kood. I highly recommend the Mira Montra.
