The most beautiful resort I have stayed at in Asia. Staff were immensely helpful, the bar cosmopolitan, dinner competently served, and the breakfast buffet comprehensive. The reflections of the land features in the water around the property are stunning, especially the sunset in the Kok River.

Beautiful resort
We stayed at the Meridien in Chiang Rai for 6 nights over NYE. The resort is beautiful and really well maintained. The service in bars and restaurants friendly and efficient. The hotel pool was lovely if a bit cold. Our room was large and quiet being away from the central areas which we really liked. We enjoyed the NYE gala which had live music, an international buffet and fireworks. We we went on a few private tours the hotel arranged or recommended which were great and we really enjoyed. Only negative is the hotel is quite far out from town so you need to catch Grab taxis everywhere but this was fine as very cheap and reliable. The hotel also uses this service which was great. Overall we had a great, enjoyable stay at the hotel and would recommend to anyone travelling to the area.
