Aug 18, 2019Go to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum first—at around 3 or 4pm. Then, go to Knossos later, ideally around 6:30 or 7pm. That allows you to get context for the site and avoids the tour bus crowds. You will not need too much time at the ruins.
