「The breakfast was continental, tea, toast, coffee, orange juice, fruit, cereal, pastries, yoghurt and delicious overnight oats. We do like a cooked breakfast though so this is a mark down for us. 「Fantastic location if you are visiting Arran. Met on arrival and check-in was no problem. Room was perfect for what we needed and very clean...only tiny issue was the toilet which took AGES to re-fill and was a bit noisy. Breakfast was great and the one member of staff who we dealt with - sorry, didn't ask a name - was absolutely superb, chatty and very efficient. Thank you and would defo use again.」

「Arrived to a luke warm welcome. The bedroom window was wide open, to air the room, which was damp. The reception area stank of cigarettes smoke. The carpets are so grubby, some steps the carpet is held together with gaffer tape. When we said we wouldn’t be staying because it wasn’t suitable and damp and in general disrepair. We weren’t offered any incentive to stay or give an option for a better room. This hotel would have been amazing in the 1980’s but has indeed lost all its charm. 」
