Very nice hotel. Nice quiet location. Staff was very nice. Room was clean. Enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room while there. Breakfast buffet was very good.
The hotel far exceeded our expectations & it's a bonus it's in the most beautiful of locations, it's peaceful and quiet.
It's very modern and has all the extras you'd expect, all the staff were all welcoming, smiley and friendly.
The spa / pool area was fabulous & it was lovely to have an early morning swim.
Breakfast was delicious, we were lucky enough to have fabulous weather & able to eat breakfast on the terrace. The transfer bus into Kinsale (one way) was great.
The Kinsale Hotel & Spa is a hidden gem & I would have no hesitation in recommending & next time we are in Cork, without doubt would book again.
This is a unique boutique hotel nestled in the countryside of Kinsale. Like a hotel tree house - built into the trees and surrounded by trees and walking and play spaces. Windows in the main area and bar/restaurant so you can easily see the field and lake behind it. Lovely stay with fun music the night of our stay. I wish we had more time explore the grounds and use the walkway.
We spent only one night in Kinsale hotel and spa. The room was specious and the views were spectacular. We stayed in the harbor view room. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to visit the spa but it looked amazing. Breakfast was great with so many options in it. The staff was who made this one night stay so good, friendly, helpful and cheerful. I couldn’t fault them. The only negative for this hotel that you need a car to go to the city. It is close but you can’t walk it because it is a bit away from anything. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the city but you need to book a taxi to come back. You need at least an hr to be able to get a taxi so make sure you pre-book your way back.
The toilet floor seems to be noisy when walking over it. Other than that everything was perfect. I wish I had more time in Kinsale to enjoy the hotel and its views further.
Not a great location. Probably better as a time share resort rather than a hotel. Meant to be 4 star. Might have been but room and bathroom were rudimentary. Fridge didn’t work. Bathroom supplies a little poor. Restaurant had a great menu and good food but it all needed more effort towards the customer.
The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a great size too. Lovely walks around the hotel and down to the lake.
Breakfast had everything you could need to set you up for a day of exploring
Magnificent property- stunning views- lots of land around. Spa seems first class. Very close to town but our gps got us lost after returning from music in Kinsale. Clean room!
Can’t comment on breakfast since we slept thru it but they gave us scones and coffee after hours . Too short a visit .
Very pretty hotel, I upgraded room because first double room had a straight on view of a metal fence (Room 105) but the upgrade was definitely worth it €30 extra a night and the views were gorgeous {Room 219]
Beautiful big bedroom, lovely bed and cushions. Fabulous pool. Breakfast good, made amazing by The lovely Chelsea with her welcoming presence.
Restaurant was quite pricey and wait for food was long dispite it being just few people in, food was nice.
Beautiful spot - best beds in the country - breakfast buffet has tons of options - restaurant reasonably priced- pool and gym was very busy as used by locals as well
Beautiful location and lovely staff, but a mixed stay
The hotel is in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views over the bay and our room was excellent spacious, comfortable and really well presented. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and consistently helpful.Breakfast was also very good, with excellent service each morning.
However there were two weddings during our stay, which I feel had a noticeable impact on the overall atmosphere. While hotel guests were still able to access all areas, as non- wedding guests we often felt as though we were intruding on a private celebration. The reception foyer, terrace and outdoor spaces and bar were very much centred around the wedding parties, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the hotel in the way we had expected from our break. Our final night, when there was no wedding, highlighted this clearly, the hotel felt completely different, relaxed, and far more enjoyable, and we were able to fully appreciate the facilities. In terms of location and transport, a car is really essential. There is a local bus service, but it only runs a few times a day. The hotel shuttle is also very restricted, only operating for short periods and one way.Taxis are available but expensive, there is no Uber in the area, and early Sunday morning taxis can be difficult to secure before around 9–9:30am.
Overall, while the hotel has beautiful surroundings, excellent staff we felt the weddings impacted our stay.
A lovely hotel with fabulous staff, the pool & facilities are fantastic. Had dinner in the restaurant both nights, great choice, delicious food/drinks. Would recommend it for a lovely family or friends get away.
