We enoyed the doubly “smart” room — both the clean, modern decor and the motion-activated automatic lights for the main stairs (though they take time to come on) and the bathroom (shut the bathroom door when not in use so you don’t trigger those lights when you walk around in your room). Also appreciated the towel warming rack, and the frosted bathroom windows. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as Grimston is a tiny village in a rural area. Such an easy check in / check out experience and such a lovely and conscientiously maintained facility. It was so so so so so lovely and I would totally stay here again. Also the cake was really good- they give you cake in your room!!!

Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates.
The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was my second stay. Friendly, helpful staff, good roast in the restaurant. We had a nice room which was an upgrade as the hotel wasn't very busy so that was a welcome surprise. I'm sure we will return as we enjoy Norfolk and this is a good base to explore further.

Wonderful staff! Friendly and extremely helpful. The food at dinner was wonderful. I would encourage those staying here to eat here as well. The breakfast was extraordinary. Very nice stay. This was my daughters favorite stay the whole trip! And air conditioning!!!!

We had a big party staying here for a family wedding nearby. I don’t usually do these reviews but the Elveden was just outstanding. The place is lovely with nice rooms and a great lounge, bar and restaurant, but it was the staff who made this special. Friendly, competent and endlessly helpful dealing with our group, including arranging two large dinners at short notice. Strongly recommended!

Such a unique hotel! Loved the pub downstairs. Staff and patrons were very nice and fun to talk to. Breakfast was amazing… not only the usual buffet of food, but you could also order off the breakfast menu, everything included with your stay. Our room was small, but fine for a night; the bed was comfortable.
