"Ok-this hotel is definitely for the budget conscious. Photos on the website look cottage-cute, but in reality, it’s a very old and tired motel with the cheapest of attempts at sprucing it up…. rather unsuccessfully. The beds are comfortable and there is a great little sofa in the room. It is small, cramped and fitted with a1960/1970 bathtub in the room we stayed in. Although it was clean(ish), the tired look of this place just begs the question of just how sanitary was it?
Guys at the front desk were friendly on the phone, but at check-in, there was no sense of personal attention. Gave us the key and ignored us. The “best room in the hotel” was allocated to us, and that room had a 9.5 star rating when we booked. To be fair, it might be so to those who are work guys or transport people looking for a place to stay overnight or for a month and don’t care about much. But this is a budget motel and serves a particular clientele. Fair enough-there’s a place for everyone, but just take care that it’s what you’re expecting. "
"Excellent stay. Not 100% ideal for mobility challenged due to the property being on a hill but ok as long as you know. Very nice and clean with comfy beds. Will stay again. "
"Basic rooms clean but looking tired
Basic breakfast door locked till 7 so not open for people to eat earlier if wanting to get away soon
Pool did not use

"Pros: Nice stay, easy to find, VERY clean. Decent price.
Cons: There is no plug-in, in the bathroom for electric appliances (curling iron; hair dryer etc)
Be sure to pack a hair dryer as there is not one in the room.
We had a kitchenette, with a small microwave and small fridge however the cupboards were empty. Make sure to pack a few pieces of cutlery, plates, cup etc."
"This is our third time to stay at Hotel Fairfield Inn & Suites in Salmon Arm. My family and I had had good staying experience until this time, one of the pillow had a blood stain which looked like the pillow case isn't washed. I didn't want to bother anyone since it was noticed in the midnight and there were still other pillows can be used.
Besides the clean problem, the waffle machine in the breakfast area was too old to be used. My family and I were looking forward to making waffle for breakfast, however we tried three times, every time the waffle was stick on the machine, it was very difficult to be taken off and eventually it was moved from the machine to our plate in a terrible shape."
