"The location was great and everything was nearby either walking or few minutes driving to Cardiff city centre. The property it self is the worst placed i have ever stayed. Some of the staff were really polite and helpful to resolve the issues and make your stay pleasant. The roo. I stayed was cleaned but there were not a single hook in bathroom to hang towels. During my stay, we didn't get hot water at all Turned out the boiler was broken but we weren't been informed to offered to change room till the last night when we were going to check out next day. Thanks to the member of staff who offered us room to take shower. The worst thing is during our stay first two nights it was very noisy and fighting couples even my son was scared. I think staff did take action and the last night was peaceful. Due to squeaking floor any one one walks in the room above us it makes noice and we can hear the conversation. It says on the hotel.com that this hotel have restaurant but looks like it is closed now. It was good that we had highstreet nearby which helped us to get food sorted. So in short location was good, hotel was economical but will never stay again. Staff were making all effort to make it work withe their good service. "

"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. There was sick and vomit on the side of the wall dried in there are multiple stains on the roof on the walls of the hotel room and over the bed. The mattress was completely filthy. Looked about 20 years old. I would not let a dog sleep in the room or even a cat the heating was switched off and did not work because of the pipework had been leaking. They were visible. Water stains all over the floor. All of the paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings and there was black mould on the windows of the hotel room. I went straight back to the hotel front desk and said the room is nothing like the ones in your photographs and I was told the hotel had not been redone for a long time and they know there is issues with the hotel and they’re trying to upgrade some of the rims when they can afford to do it however this is just the way their rooms are right now I asked and demanded to be moved to a different room. I was then shown another room which was even worse there is no elevator in the hotel room a lot of stairs and the hotel room smells of cigarettes and dogs and there was rubbish all through the hallwa"

"The staff were top notch, the room was clean but the carpets were very stained. All things being equal we were out late and left early. And slept well. Don’t run low on fuel there, the gas station close to it is 30 cents more a gallon than driving 2 miles towards the closest town. "

"First impressions are important. The exterior of this hotel is like a horror movie. Inside the theme continues. It's very dated. But if you like quirky seaside hotels then this place is for you. I think someone was smoking in their room because I could smell cigarette smoke. My room had a farty odour. I can't really complain for the price I paid. It was close to a nice Nepalese restaurant and also a convenient store. And is close to the seafront too but a fair way from the town and amusements. "
