「The room was spacious and very unique. Comfortable bed and clean, and modern, bathroom. The lobby and hallway were very quiet. The only off-putting thing was check in. I asked days before for an early check in as I had a work meeting at 4 pm. I didn't push it, but arrived around 3:50 pm - wanted to pop into the room to put my items and freshen up for a moment after 3+ hours driving from Portland - and the system wouldn't let me enter. 「The State is a boutique hotel with a funky vibe (in a good way). The room was a bit small and it lacked some amenities but the bed was very comfortable and for a downtown hotel it was quiet.
A couple of minor gripes:
1) the in room coffee is pretty lame
2) the bathroom could use a couple of towel racks
3) charging $8 for a water bottle is ridiculous
A couple of positives:
1) the hotel staff was great! Helpful and affable
2) the hotel restaurant has a great breakfast and the staff there is...
「The interior was spacious and had everything we needed. It's very walkable and the elevator worked just fine during our stay. My only concern was the floors. They were a little dusty and could've used more cleaning. Other than that, it's a beautiful and quiet place.」
「Good Part:
The room is clean and well-prepared. There are several stores and restaurants nearby, and it’s not far from the bus station, which makes it easy to visit other attractions. Really like the inn!
Not Good:
My room didn’t have air conditioning. While a fan was provided and the temperature at night was manageable, I found it a bit uncomfortable as it doesn’t quite match my usual living preferences.
