Situated in the center of Kelso the Queens Head is in the perfect location for the area attractions. The staff were attentive, solicitous and helpful. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was substantial and delicious. Dinner in the bar was very noisy but the staff obliged me moving to a quieter table.

Perfect hotel Getaway
Absolutely wonderful hotel, nipping clean and the staff are so kind. Amy at breakfast was just great couldn't do enough for us. Food is delicious and always piping hot. The bedroom was comfy and super clean. Nice hot shower too.

One Night Stop
One night stay during short break and found everything about this hotel to be first class. From check in to check out the staff were so friendly and could not do enough to make your stay pleasant and memorable which it certainly was.

The hotel is located centrally. Being an older property, the staircase is windy and steep. May not be suitable for persons with difficulty ascending stairs (no lift). Our room was located in the attic. When we arrived, we were disappointed because the heating was not on (3 degrees outside) and when they put on the heating it did not work. It took a while to sort out because the waitress from the bar was dealing with the reception as well (26th Dec). We were provided with another heater which was perfect. In the end our 2 night stay was very comfortable. Breakfast was very delicious (freshly made cooked breakfast plus cereals/fruit etc). Ample parking was available in front of the hotel. Due to the time of year, it was noisy after midnight outside on the first night. The room included an electric shower (new), tea/coffee facilities, kettle etc.

I am 80 and not very mobile. Staff moved me to a more accessible room at check-in without being asked. It is a very old building but nicely modernised with lively clientele

Just a really good experience. Room was good, bed was comfy, breakfast was as good as you would expect. Parking not the most convenient, but you cant have everything.

Central to the square but some traffic noise. Room tended to be warm but we could open window and we had a small fan. The bed was a bit lumpy in the center and sloped a bit downward at the head but the pillows helped. Internet for tv was spotty with some stations affected. A good stay but could have been better.

Lovely small traditional Scottish Hotel. Room was large, very clean and was ready early afternoon. Breakfast options were great and freshly cooked to order. Staff were so helpful at every stage. Restaurant was great with plenty of good options - book ahead as it is busy. Overall a really lovely hotel and superb value.

The Borders is a lovely area to visit.
Great hotel. Lovely staff. Receptionist changed our room because I needed a walk in shower, lovely lady. Food was excellent. We toured around the area, Berwick on Tweed etc. Kelso is a nice town with individual type shops and cafes and Restaurants.

Charming old hotel in very attractive setting. Staff friendly very helpful and efficient. Breakfast ( inc) generous. Evening dining also of good quality. Avoid bedroom on street side as it is cobbled and there is a reasonable volume of traffic
