"Stayed two nights a the Hotel Ranga and so glad that my wife and I added the extra day. The restaurant was all that we expected and more and a great place to spend a cold windy night in the South. It’s also only an hour or so from Reykjavik so well worth the drive for the high quality authentic Icelandic cuisine. Rooms are very comfortable and many have access to one of two outdoor hot tubs. Location also very convenient to main attractions. "

"March 2024 - Very nice place to lodge away from it all. Pleasant warm rooms and amenities including hot tub and sauna. Be prepared for the wind. Breakfast was great. We appreciated the wake up call for the auroras, but unfortunately it was too cloudy to see very much of it. We enjoyed our two night stay very well. "

"I had a horrible experience with this place. We arrived late to the guesthouse due to some trouble on our way and couldn’t get in as there was no key left. There was no pin left to get the key. When we tried to contact on the given phone number, there was no response. We were left outside on the street in the extreme cold weather with nowhere to go. With great difficulty got another hotel for the overnight stay. We contacted the reception of the guesthouse the next day and she was very rude...

"This was a fun night out in the middle of nowhere. A great location to stargaze or catch the northern lights if it's clear! The camper was in perfect shape, a big deck out front with lots of room for sitting outside. They are building things in the campground, it would be cool to see hot tubs go in!"

"The area is okay, but can tell the property is a little bit rundown with creaking floor sound and thin walls. Certain parts of the floor are also rotten and old. Toilet is very small as well.
