I booked a room at this hotel for a two-week holiday. However, I think the venue would be better suited for a couple of nights stop-over before going on to tour the island. As I'm on a budget, I booked what is listed as the "Economy Room". To be honest, it wasn't much cheaper than places I've previously booked that had more included. There was no facility for self-catering at all. I'd recommend you take your own dish/plate/cutlery. If you want to make a decent size drink, take a mug! In the room, there is a fridge with a tray on top with a kettle, two small coffee cups, tea/coffee sachets, a corkscrew, four glasses, two tiny coffee spoons and two pastry forks! There's nowhere other than the fridge to store food and the only pace to prepare food is on top of the fridge. There wasn't much clothes storage either - just one big hanging space with a few coat hangers (no drawers). There was a small dressing table with a hairdryer - but no other surfaces. In the main room, there were no windows - just a glazed panel in the door (which you could open - but this resulted in the local cats jumping in!). There wasn't a curtain for this panel and there was a bright security light on outside all the time, which lit up the room at night. Luckily, I had a sarong which I used as a makeshift curtain, as the light was really intrusive once it was dark. I think the other rooms have much better facilities and view. There was quite a bit of bathroom noise from the adjoining and above rooms.

Die Aussicht der Unterkunft und die Lage sind sehr gut! Ausstattung des Apartments ziemlich veraltete. Wegen Küchenutensilien vorhanden. Es riecht alles etwas nach Feuchtigkeit.

Worth the Money

The hotel it’s self was well worth the money! It’s in a nice area close to beaches and many restaurants and has an ocean view. The only trouble we had was actually finding the place, so be sure to have good directions before getting there. Overall, we were very pleased!

I've had a delightful stay at Sunshine Resort! The property is high up on the hill and the views are just stunning. Ornela was very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended. As a frequent visitor to Kefalonia I will be definitely booking again. Wishing Sunshine Resort a busy summer season!

Very bad

There's no reception, no phone to call anyone, no restaurant or any type of food/drink. One day my shower was cold, the other there was no toilet paper because nobody changed it. Who are you gonna contact if there's no reception and no phone? Exactly, nobody. Shower is horrible, you have to hold it with one hand and pray to not get stuck in the plastic curtain, it basically floads the bathroom everytime. We stayed for 5 days and the room was super dirty. The room service only makes your bed and puts the soaked bathroom floor towel by the window to dry (which it doesn't). We used cups and cutlery in the first day, and they were laying there dirty until we checked out (kitchen is not a facility, so I couldn't wash them myself). So we couldn't use them any other of the 4 days. Access to the parking lot is very poor. Check out? We had to leave the key on the door because again there's nobody to talk to. The only good thing there was basically the view from the balcony!

Rooms are lovely, just right for what we needed. Little balcony area for sitting and watching the sea with a glass of wine after dinner. Olena was so friendly and lovely, our room was always clean with fresh towels daily. She works very hard to make sure guests are happy. We'll definately be back!!

Schöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Ausblick

Wir, zwei Stundentinnen, war rundum zufrieden mit dem Sunshine Resort. Das Doppelzimmer war klein aber fein, alles war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend! Das Highlight ist def Ausblick vom Balkon/Terrasse. Man sollte nur wissen, dass es einen relativ sportlichen Aufgang zum Resort gibt.

Soggiorno piacevole di un’isola splendida

Ho soggiornato al Resort durante il weekend delle Pasqua ortodossa in Grecia, oltre la vista ottima e la buonissima posizione l’accoglienza è stata incredibile. Consiglio questo posto a chiunque voglia avere una base tranquilla per la sera così da poter visitare l’isola durante il giorno.

Boa relação custo-benefício!!

Boa relação custo-benefício. Atendeu nossa necessidade do momento. Havíamos reservado apenas 2 noites na Cefalônia porém como um dos dias ficou nublado e chegou até a chover resolvemos ficar mais um dia nessa maravilhosa ilha para compensar. Rs! Como o hotel onde estávamos hospedados anteriormente estava lotado, tivemos que procurar outro, então esse hotel nos atendeu já que procurávamos algo em conta e localizado próximo ao centro e porto de Pessada (de onde partiríamos na manhã seguinte de ferry para Zaquintos). Quarto e banheiro, apesar de antigos, bastante espaçosos e cama confortável. Vista incrível (pena termos partido antes do nascer do sol). Não oferece café da manhã (talvez por se tratar de um apartamento e não propriamente de um hotel), porém disponibiliza uma cozinha (que nem chegamos a utilizar). A localização não é ruim, porém difícil de encontrar. O endereço do site nos remete a outro lugar. Ficamos perdidos, paramos num posto de gasolina e o frentista nos ajudou ligando para o hotel e então uma funcionária foi de carro nos encontrar e nos levou até lá. No check out não encontramos ninguém então acabamos deixando as chaves na porta. É uma boa opção para quem procura um lugar para tomar banho e descansar por um custo baixo.

Nice accomodation with impressive views.

Nice and clean and the owners were helpful and accomodating when we needed something. The one disadvantage to staying here is the steep hill you have to climb followed by the additional steps up to the property. Quite exhausting in the heat. Lovely views from the rooftop terrace and the nearest beach is the small but child friendly Gradakia Beach. Not in fact a resort as additional facilities are scarce but a collection of nice apartments with impressive views of the bay.

La struttura è molto carina e a pochi minuti in macchina da Argostoli. Per la prima volta dopo 13 anni in Grecia non abbiamo conosciuto i responsabili della struttura, fantasmi. La ragazza delle pulizie molto carina, anche se dopo 5 giorni di vacanza siamo stati noi a chiedere il cambio degli asciugamani. La stanza al piano terra, vista mare, molto spaziosa e ben curata. Sommando qualità e prezzo siamo stati abbastanza contenti.

Non c'è una reception

Primo albergo della mia vita dove vado e non c'è nessuno ad accogliermi.. bisogna chiamarli ed arrivano dopo circa un'ora perché i proprietari abitano dall'altra parte dell'isola. Quello che fa innervosire di più è il fatto che dopo il volo, la ricerca dell'hotel e tutto ti viene detto di attendere 15 minuti affinché arrivino con le tue chiavi, ma sotto il sole in mezzo al niente aspettare un'ora invece di 15 minuti diventa seccante. Albergo isolato dal resto a causa delle strade molto ripide... è a 1.6km dal mare, ma la pendenza, quasi, obbliga il noleggio di un mezzo di trasporto. Pulizia ineccepibile. Stanza carina. Ma a causa della mancanza di personale sul luogo mi sento di sconsigliarlo.

Friendly Little Gem

If you know the area it is easy to find. It's a family run place and the owner, Sammi is very warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Beds are really comfy and pillows too. Basic kitchen equipment but you don't really need alot as we ate out locally every evening in Lassi or Argostoli. All the windows have a fly cover over so great for stopping bugs while keeping windows open. A.C. works great! Lovely sitting out on the terrace morning/evening looking out at the fantastic view! They also have another resort that you can use and theres a pool and snack bar. I would highly recommend staying here and would stay again. I would recommend a car (Pefanis) as it's a good walk up to the accommodation bit to also get out and about on the island as there are some amazing and fantastic places to see... I'll be back soon! ♡

einfach aber gut

Sehr weit oben gelegene Pension. Wir hatten leider das Hinterzimmer aber vorn hat man einen tollen Ausblick. Internet ist leider auch nur vorn richtig gut gewesen. Aber sauber und sehr nette Betreuerin vor Ort.
