May 2015 Gate rock, Hrube rocks, Bohemian Paradise, Czech republic Bohemian Paradise (=Český Ráj) is a nature reserve protected area established in 1955 and it is located in North Bohemia. It has a varied country side with plenty of fir and beech forrests surrounding wonderful sandstone rock formations. The water, wind and frost erosion has left many uniquely shaped rock towers having up to 60 meters of height and these are a popular place for Czech rock climbers for decades. A rock called Gate is one of them in an area called Lighthouse in Hrubé rocks region.
