"The Ramses was a great hotel but if you want to just go for a walk outside your hotel. The Ramses is on a busy main freeway and you can cross the street but if you have never been in Cairo. They have a saying in Cairo... if you want to cross the street... take a taxi... theere areno cross walks. People just cross infront of the traffic . Crazy traffic in Cairo. "

"Stairs from 9 to 10 can be brutal, but staff help with luggage. Wish they’d put handrail on lower section. But once you reach 10, it’s clean and quiet. Local breakfast was too much food, and we had great snacks in their restaurant. Used as base to walk to old Egyptian museum and metro to Coptic quarter. Desk staff great with directions."

"Staff at time of my check in was very friendly and co-operative. Room is nice and clean, we have electric kettle in room but no tea, milk or coffee so please get your own tea bags or coffee sachet with you otherwise there is plenty available around there. Location is brilliant and very close to many city attractions, plenty of shopping around and metro station in nearby. Lot of local street food is there in that area. Breakfast is very basic but served the purpose. Overall, good experience, clean, nice room and it is definitely worth staying there in medium budget."
