"This is a great boutique hotel close to a main shopping and restaurant area in Kyoto. Also just steps to the subway line. If you get a room on the Main Street it can be a bit noisy at night. "

"Great location. We were “upgraded” to a small room on the premium floor that was smaller and less well appointed than our friends in a regular room on a non-premium floor. Our room had a vinyl floor that had stains on it, no storage space for clothing, hardly any space to walk around the bed and nowhere to store 24” suitcases without having to step around them. Ask for one of the larger rooms!"

"The property was lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful. We enjoyed being in the Gion district, ventral and close to restaurants and transportation. We really liked that there was a free shuttle bus to the Kyoto Train Station. A couple of small things: we wish there was better lighting in the hotel room sink area for shaving and make-up. The food at the breakfast buffet was great, plentiful and diverse, but we felt a little rushed to finish, with staff picking up an empty plate as soon as you took the last bite."

The restaurant was incredible with views i will remember of kyoto. The location made travel easy, esp with the shuttle. We cannot wait to return! "
