The condos are in need of a renovation for sure. Each one is decorated differently the room we were given had mold in the bathrooms and lots of termite issues. On the up side the cleaning staff took care of all of it. The front desk was amazing and very helpful. It was definitely nice to have a kitchen when you travel with children. I think we might try another part of the island next time but all in all it’s not a bad deal for your money.

Had some many things go wrong in our room. Fan on the balcony broke and a live wire was sparking. Outlet on balcony blew out and had to be capped. Washer broke. Water leaking in room on my son while he slept. Several lights in the rooms not working. Some of this related to storms, but most just bad luck or lack of upkeep. They did comp us for the inconveniences, but simple removed some hidden charges. A beautiful place and the ocean and pool and saltwater pool are amazing, but will not ever be going back because of the issues.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was absolutely amazing — very comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained. The ocean view from the room was stunning and made our stay even more special. Waking up and seeing the ocean every morning was truly unforgettable. The service was excellent from start to finish — the staff were friendly, helpful, and always made us feel welcome. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for the great service and hospitality. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Room was clean and comfortably decorated. Fully air conditioned. 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms. Nice swimming pool, but not a place for swimming in the ocean - too dangerous. This resort is not close to the Commercial area. No restaurant on site, but kitchen adequately stocked with cookware etc. We are not fans of the Big Island.

This place was a home away from home. Our rooms was nice and clean it was a little dated but the atmosphere was a vibe. We were greeted so pleasantly and they even gave my a bottle of wine for my birthday. We would definately give this place a 10/10 recommend review. The Big Island was a Vibe all by it's self, we loved this Island.

Beautiful scenery and ocean view. Pleasant atmosphere. Staff at the resort property were not so great. Couple staff members were ok. Every thing is pretty close by. We needed a car for sure to go around. The property was nice and spacious but the staff could have done better job in keeping the place more cleaner. The cleaners at this property who cleans at Ashton Kona by the sea doesn’t have hygienic cleaners. I had to tell the staff to come and clean it up. The staff are a little ignorant about cleanliness. All in all we had a great time at the balcony, rooms. Good kitchen except for the sink area, still needs updated kitchen. Bath rooms are out dated, furnitures are all outdated. Ocean view was the best and the garden and pool area were all fabulous. Outside sitting area was great at the resort. Kailua Kona and the near by towns and restaurants the beeches and the Mother Nature is one of best in this big island. The turtles in several beeches. Lots of corals and sea creatures were awesome and has the best snorkeling and swimming beeches. Super place to visit for relaxation. Hawaii National volcano park and caldera and we went around to see almost all the beeches and to different towns and small sailing in the ocean, coffee estates, farm lands, rainbow falls, in Hawaii you get awesome fresh fish and almost all kind & varieties of restaurants to eat. It’s worth money spent. It was a memorable trip with my family. Loved it.

Lot of positives. Spacious rooms like a full size 1bed 2 ba condo. Amazing views from the balcony. Full size kitchen , dishwasher and W/D. Quiet and clean property. On the older side but well maintained. Staff was very nice and hospitable. Had a late check-in and the guard was available to help as front desk was closed. Some minor recommendations : better quality soap.fix the sliding doors as they dont slide very well.
