Absolutely amazing experience staying at this property. It was so beautiful, the meals were a feast for both the eyes and the mouth and the service was unmatched.
The property is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner is excellent. The dishes included lots of local seafood, beef and produces.
This was our first ryokan stay and everything people say about Araya Totoan is true, truly incredible. Our room's private open-air bath alone was worth the trip, and the public onsens were just as good. Dinner and breakfast were some of the best meals of our entire Japan trip, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate my wife's dietary needs without missing a beat. The station pickup made arrival seamless. Impeccable service from start to finish, we'd come back in a heartbeat.
Incredible experience staying here. The room was large, with our own personal hot spring onsen and garden. Food was delicious, prices were very reasonable and staff extremely friendly. They really went above and beyond. Thank you so much for the highlight of our Japan trip!
We were put on the second floor in the room next to the kitchen where traffic is heavy to and from the dining area. Would have liked to be offered a different floor for this type experience. Since the check in is in the room, I didn’t have a chance to ask about the floor and setting…
