Cute little cottages right on historic Route 66! Spotlessly clean, and the property is well maintained. Check-in was quick, with just a phone call to the number provided and a text message with a picture of a photo ID. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return when we are next in Joplin. Only glitch was with communication. I tried, unsuccessfully, to ask questions for clarification purposes. No answer by text or phone message either of the two times. It would be a great improvement to customer service if someone took on communications with potential or pending guests.

The outside of Westport Inn is nicer than inside the unit I had. First. The registration office has limited hours. They have a decent work around and staff is helpful, yet no one at the office is a hassle for a 1st time guest. Second. The room was TINY and definitely had nothing more than cursory cleaning. Third. The bed was LOUD with every movement, not comfy either. Last. This is an old facility that is given away by the old smell. Parking was good, location was convenient. Too many negatives to recommend.

Nice cabin, well appointed but small footage. It is Rt 66 motor court rebuilt. The remote check in by text was a bit of trouble, as others have mentioned. But once finally in, all was good and remote staff was very helpful in changing up a length of stay change.

What a hidden gem!! Such a cute little cottage and perfect for our stay. Everything was clean and neat. Check in was super easy! I like the parking aspect as well, right by our cottage! Very safe feeling and well maintained.

This is a unique property that embodies the tradition of the motor courts that were common along historic Route 66 in the 1930s and 1940s. The small individual cottages are lovingly restored and maintained. The bed is very comfortable and well appointed. And while the space is smaller than a modern hotel room, the experience of staying in one of these motor courts is well worth the affordable price. This would be a great place to stay, especially during this Centennial year of the great Mother Road, Route 66. One should be prepared, however, for a degree of traffic noise in the evening the cottages are adjacent to the roadway. The early morning, however, was quiet and peaceful. There is no check-in lobby. Rather, the owner will give instructions how to enter the assigned cottage before arrival. For this reason those who book through a third-party such as Expedia need to contact the property in advance.
