My family of 5 rented the cottage and 2 garden facing studios, #3&4 and we all had a great stay. Comfort in every aspect. Would definitely return. Shopping and eating is within a short walk or drive. Everything needed is provided. Cleanliness is a priority.

The Haystack is a wonderful place to be

The beautiful garden, swimming pool, and walling distance to shops make this already a great location but it geta even better with the air conditioned rooms, backup generator power, and best of all the hospitality of the owner/manager. They were always acomidationg for anything that we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in thw area

Great stay. Apartment was clean and comfortable and had all needed amenities that make you feel "at home". The staff was very attentive as well, and the communication was good. The pool and backyard of the facility is very nice as well!

No water day

I gave them a lower rating because that the water was shut off for a complete day in witch it ruins the fact that could not take a shower nor do any laundry although they did try to help by providing buckets for flushing the toilet I believe that if the water has been on ,it was for the most part close to 5 star rating

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We like the view from our room in the beautiful garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Just the basin in the bathroom is very small.

Unpleasant experience

Firstly meet with unpleasant situation- demand of ZAR1000 deposit- I have never had this anywhere in the world. I waited at the gate for a long time before they opened the gate and people were watching me waiting at the gate. The coffee maker does not work and leaked all over the counter. I got 1 small bottle of complimentary water on the first day When i left i was told by the SECURITY GUARD that i had to wait for him to check the room before he could let me leave the premises- can you believe this. This place is totally overrated and i will never stay there again.

Brilliant place.

After reading the previous reviews I decided to book up. It was the day before and I arrived early in the morning. The owners couldn't of done anymore, they got my room ready, upgraded me and generally looked after me so well. The room was spotless with everything you could possibly want, shower was powerful and as hot as you could want it, all heaters and electrics worked as they should. The pool was clean and the gardens immaculate. I felt secure but free to leave at any time and do as I please. The staff and owners were always about and couldn't do enough for me. Best accommodation I've stayed in for a very long time! It's worth a lot more than I paid and I shall certainly be returning here soon. Thank you again for the great stay.
