JL Boutique Hotel shanghai Tian An 1000Trees. Jing'an Temple changshou Road Store
10/10 Excellent
"A marvellous, affordable stay. Great coffee, clean but most importantly the staff were very polite, helpful, kind. Location is excellent. You are away from the many tourist hotspots so walk outside and you experience the real Shanghai locals going about their business. Quiet location , clean neighborhood... Metro nearby, temple at walking distances. Walk out elevator on ground level, turn left and walk 200 metres to find a beautiful riverside walk.... Local restaurants offers all you could wish for with very affordable meals. Overall a great place to stay and experience a wonderful Chinese hospitality and efficiency."

"Great hotel and location"

Jinglai Rooftop Garden Hotel Bund Jingan Temple Changshou Road Metro

"Initially our stay didn’t get off to the best start. The check in time is advertised as noon however upon check in we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until around 2pm. Due to having a long flight and the jet lag, we were keen to get settled. We therefore had to pay a significant amount of money to upgrade to a room we could check into at that point even though we arrived at the correct check in time. Despite this our room was lovely, modern technology, amazing shower. Amenities in the room were amazing and they restocked bottles of water and cans of sprite and coke on a daily basis free of charge. We had a queen bed which was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location to easily catch the metro however long distance to tourist attractions if you wanted to walk. Staff were helpful, did not speak English but used a translator to communicate. Overall a great stay and good value for money."

"A special shout out to KOI front desk. She was very helpful and attentive when during our check out. The male receptionist was so helpful and friendly too."

The Kunlun Jing An
10/10 Excellent
"Although the hotel is a little dated, we really enjoyed our stay! We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to the Presidential Suite, which was incredibly spacious and offered stunning panoramic views. The layout was perfect for our family, as the kids had their own sleeping area in the living room while we enjoyed a large, comfortable bedroom with an amazing massage mattress. The hotel also has excellent facilities, including a large gym, swimming pool, and sauna. One of the biggest highlights is the convenient location. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Jing’an Temple and the two nearby shopping malls, with plenty of restaurants and dining options in the area. In the opposite direction, the French Concession is only about a 15–20-minute walk away, making it easy to explore different parts of Shanghai on foot. Overall, despite the hotel showing its age a little, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay. The spacious accommodations, beautiful views, and central location more than made up for it!"

"Good place but missed some vanity kits in room, lotion also"

Jinglai Hotel Bushe
8/10 Good
"The room was really nice and spacious, bed was comfortable, complimentary drinks were a nice touch. I especially liked the complimentary washer-dryers that also had detergent - very helpful! The complimentary espresso machine, fruit, and candy were also nice. I appreciated that I was able to check out at 2 p.m. instead of noon. What could have been better were the lighting and tech set-up in the room. It was difficult to understand and to work the tablet since it wasn't in Enlish. The TV also had no channels in English. The front staff were nice but their fluency in English was quite limited, so there's only so much they could help when I had a couple of questions. I would agree with other reviews that the "luxury" category for this hotel isn't quite right, but it's still a nice hotel to stay at and the subway station is literally a one-minute walk from the hotel. Also inconvenient and a learning for first-timers in mainland China, but the address for the hotel on Google Maps is incorrect, and although the address of the hotel says it's on West Nanjing Road, it's actually on a side street, on the corner of Taixing Road. If you put the address in Didi, they will take you to the right spot."

The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai

"Looks like a Ritz, smells like a Ritz but it doesn't feel like a Ritz Carlton. Rooms are small and fates, bathroom are small and dated, the property is small and cramped"
