This hidden gem looks old from outside in street . Something from the 79’s but once in your room it’s clean , massive rooms, lots of plugs to charge things and friendly staff. Bed was comfy and in a great spot. Only complaint is windows could be double glazed to block out the trucks driving thru town , otherwise a fun hotel to stay at

Felt unsafe staying here no chain on door. Very noisy trucks going past all night. Price was excessive for a basic room. Towels where grey not white

Reasonable stay

No continental breakfast although it was advertised it was available on the website. Unfortunately didn’t check the fridge, it was on but internal dial was not turned up and by the morning nothing in the freezer had kept frozen and fridge not cold. Otherwise room clean and nice new bathroom.

No instructions for using the air conditioner made it a bit hard to warm the room. Also electric blankets stopped working during the night but husband was able to pull the bed from the wall, check the plugs into the power board and the power board connection to the socket; turned it off then on and we re-tried the blankets. Seemed to work a bit better.

Good Highway stop

The room was very clean and comfortable but it was very disappointing to find that the advertised pool was full of reeds, so basically a swamp. Hotels.com really needs to update the information about this motel on their site. It is interesting to follow the information on both Ned Kelly and Sir John Monash.

Check in was unpleasant, the man on the desk was obviously annoyed when asked about the pool and how breakfast would be served in the morning. Apparently the pool had not been in service for over 2years, very disappointing as we only booked this accommodation for what appeared to be a lovely covered pool and they had never served breakfast. The disappointment continued when using the shower. There were pubic hairs and what I’m calling blood smeared on the tiles. The room was tidy, but dirty. The spare pillow had hairs on it, the towels were stained and yellowing, the chairs were grotty and container that stored the dirty crockery was filthy. The semi full size fridge was a welcome surprise, the curtains were very affective in blocking the light and the air conditioning was effective.
