「The hotel natural estate was beautiful, the grounds were in there own gardens , the staff very friendly , everything so clean and helpful. Everything was exceptional. The restaurant was very interesting and good , breakfast was so delightful with all the fruits and choices to eat. It is a 5 star excellent hospitality. The outside pool was lovely as well as indoor spa. Not hot but refreshing. 」

「What a lovely location although there are multiple suites and rooms, from the majority of vistas they are all nestled within the land and discrete. There were issues with the room but we were kindly offered alternatives. Breakfast was included and you couldn't eat enough. The grounds were impressively level given the graduated levels of Maderia's landscape.」

The hotel is advertised as two connected properties with spa amenities but in reality they are pretty disjointed and quite a bit of walk from each other. The spa reservation system is not great because there is no online way to reserve a massage and one needs to go to a remote reception spot to reserve it between 10 am and 7 pm (which is prime time NOT to be at the hotel). 「Maybe our fault but when traveling afar things need to be absolutely transparent, clear and easy. We arrived at location (paid to get there) only to be dropped off and find out had to walk 1/2 mile to another building just to get a code to get in building. Get to alternate location only to find out there are more fees/taxes to pay - all fees should be posted when booking a location. Otherwise just know there is some street noise but good location, clean and safe. 」
