Clean and big rooms, delicious meals, amazing onsen view!! Staff were friendly too, accommodating to our pick up requests from shin Iwakuni station. Highly recommended!

This place is in tiny Iwakuni, and it’s seen better days. However, it’s location cannot be beat, right across from the bridge. It also has an awesome onsen. And we had a set dinner that was fantastic. If I came to this town again, I’d definitely stay here.

Reception staff were extremely helpful and going all the way to make our stay pleasant
Staff is wonderful especially the front desk team. It was my second time staying there and they remembered me from my first trip couple of months ago (and if they didn’t, they did their research!).
Can't get any closer to the famous Kintaibashi bridge or the very excellent sword museum or the nice Iwakuni jo. The service is excellent. It is an older style Japanese hotel so the beds are very hard
In terms of American comfort...but very good for your back. They serve an excellent Japanese only breakfast.
Lots of good things about the hotel, but the main thing I want of a hotel is a good night's sleep. On this the Iwakuni Kokusai failed miserably. We had a very uncomfortable night indeed, because the beds were so hard. I wouldn't be surprised if the beds were acquired from the Chinese prison surplus store.
