Pandemic Winter Travel
It's about a 7-minute brisk walk from the station. Right across the street, there is an Indian and revolving sushi restaurant. Now onto the bad stuff: the room is VERY small. I think this is the smallest room I've ever stayed at in JPN. The lobby and Front Desk seem decent, but once you go upstairs to the guest rooms, it takes a turn for the worse. The hallways are unheated and thus very cold. If you have a room at or near the end of the hallway, it's even colder, as the doors at the very end of the building open to the outside and there's a breeze coming through at all times. The doors to the guestrooms are also cheap, old, and inefficient, so you can easily hear hallway noise and that cold air comes into your room. And the heater of the room is only positioned at the center to back of your room, so the area near the door of your room remains cold. The floor of the room is old and rough. The bathroom is a step-up one, small, and the faucet is too close to the sink; I thus would turn the faucet into the shower and wash my hands there since there was ample room. The room is also quite dark as there's only a desklight and a side light that is near the desk. The only decent things are the bed and the larger fridge.

Family of 4 in 2 twin beds room
We stayed at this hotel twice because we really like it! We always travel via car so free on-site parking is a great deal. The room is very spacious and my family of 4 fits perfectly in the 2 twin beds room. Although it’s a little older, this place is always clean and it provides everything that we need. Japanese style breakfast for 500yen is also a great deal. More importantly, staff speaks English and very helpful. We will definitely be back on one our family getaways!

Perfect for the price!
Big room with fast Wifi! The bathroom is clean and recently renovated. We enjoyed the water pressure for the showers. The buffet breakfast included with our room rate was good for us and the local people. There are free hot and cold coffee and tea in the lobby throughout the day.

This is a very old, but okay hotel. The floor tiles are stained, the walls are thin and the hotel is close to the road, so you aren't getting luxury accommodations. But the room (the family size) was decent size. The bathroom felt like a cruise ship bathroom where it had a plastic insert for a shower and other functions. Also note that you can't flush the toilet, use the sink and/or use the shower at the same time as they all draw from the same water supply. Breakfast is just small Japanese plates. The staff was very helpful, but didn't speak any English.

The staff was very friendly. No one spoke English but we managed. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast. If you’re not willing to try new things don’t bother. The rooms are very small and the bathroom even smaller but was very very clean. There were no English TV channels so that was rough but expected I suppose. Overall I was very satisfied and well worth the price.

My first Japan home
The hotel is very nice by Japanese standards. By American standards the room was small but workable. The front staff was beyond kind and very helpful. I would like to thank Shido for helping learn some Japanese cordiality and making me feel very welcome. I would also like to recognize Mirata for his help helping me find the realtor I was looking for. All of the staff was cordial and very kind. They have a nice laundry on site and free breakfast each morning. felt welcomed, safe and appreciated. The internet worked perfectly every time.

Highly recommend
Stay was great. Hotel is a bit outdated, but we only spent a few hours each day there since we had a list of things we wanted to do and see around Iwakuni and Hiroshima area. The breakfast was great and the staff was amazing, courteous and willing to help with any questions we had.

Great hotel
Great location if visiting family as it is close to the American base. staff was exceptional and very willing to help in anyway! the only complaints was the room did not have any dressers and the A/c unit fan was load as a helicopter but blew cold air!

Close to the Train and MCAS Iwakuni
Arrived in Iwakuni from Okinawa on the patriot express. There was no availability on base so picked this hotel from Expedia. Great pick and will stay again. Hotel Room was large with two full beds and very clean. The bathroom was small but every hotel I have stayed in around this area is. We walked to the train station which took 5 mins and went to Kyoto. Since the room was cheap (80 bucks US a night) we left most of our stuff in the room and stayed in Kyoto for two days. The staff spoke good English which was very nice. Cheaper than base without any of the drama that comes with base (not being able to make a reservation etc.)

Great service
Warm and friendly reception staff with good English use. Staff very helpful in changing my 2 night booking to non-smoking room, after calling ahead. Generally clean room with good hot water, but should be updated, as carpeting is stained. Good location near JR station and shopping.

It is exactly as advertised
I was there for work, the rooms were exactly as described, rooms are on the smaller side but that is typical for this area, the staff went out of there way to help in any way, they always had someone that spoke english and if they didn;t they would call and let you speak with them to get anything answered. The rooms in the area are at a premium because of the demand and have raised their rates, The Trend did nto raise their rates and stuck to their published rates. I would stay here again. I spent 26 days here

Price is inexpensive, so matches up with the outdated quality of the room I suppose. Very friendly front desk staff, especially the breakfast lady and the 2 ladies that checked me in. One spoke really good English, so that helped too.

Very Clean Hotel and the Staff was very professional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. The only issue i had was that parking was limited. Rooms were very clean.

Nice hotel with great staff
The hotel has very frendly English speaking staff. They have a great breakfast and clean rooms. The hotel also has free bike use for 2 hours. It is in a great location 5 minutes to the train station and vlade to restrants. I will stay there again and may even go just for breakfast
