"The cabin we had was wonderful. Kitchen was stocked so well. It was clean and pleasant. However, if you advertise a restaurant and you are 17 MILES away from everything, that advertised restaurant better be open. We were panicked when the restaurant had not been open for over 1.5 years!!! The thought of going back 17 miles on a country road after driving over 5 hours was a deal breaker. "A very wonderful hotel for those who can appreciate it’s vibe. If you are looking for a specific franchised environment … this may not be the place for you. Good bar, very good restaurant. Bring your swimsuit as the pool is amazing, and heated! Fun to have a few guest pooches to pet as you sip your ice tea or cocktail on the outdoor patio, or your private patio just outside of your room. Lots of food options nearby. The only “thing,” which I wasn’t expecting, was to have my bed for the night be a fold-out couch. I had a reservation for a room with a bed but got in late (yes, airline delay) to find the only room left was a “living room” with a couch-bed. It was okay for a night. If you MUST have a bed and are coming in late, call ahead and tell them … or you may end up with what they have left."
