「We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the dive shop we used . Only 11 rooms with a nice pool and lovely lush vegetation on the back side .We even saw a toucan right at the pool as well as many other birds ! The only fly in the ointment for us was our air conditioner seemed to have a mind of it's own . It did work but started running water out of the unit inside our room and right over my nightstand which soaked my phone and kindle . All good in the end !」

「We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the lodge buildings are very sympathetically designed, and blend well with the surroundings. Everywhere is very clean and maintained to a high standard. We loved sitting on the bar stools and watching the monkeys and morpho butterflies. 「We had a great 6 nights at Casa Gitana, we had a lovely room with a shady private patio, our room was cleaned everyday and the staff were great. Breakfast was included and there is a restaurant for lunch and dinner. It's a short walk to the beach and many tours can be organised at the hotel. Thanks. 」

「This a beautiful property with rustic cabins. There are amazing views as it is high up. We saw many birds from our balcony including green parrots and toucans. It is quite a climb from the road, definitely not accessible, but close to Drake Bay beach, a grocery store and several restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. We pre-arranged a tour to Corcovado National Park through the hotel and it went great. You can order breakfast the day before and have it specially prepared for you...

「The welcome by being collected on the beach and having our luggage taken to the room was a nice touch. The room itself was clean and the view was gorgeous. We were disappointed with the general service, particularly in the hotels restaurant. We booked a table on the first evening and it wasn't ready when we arrived, with the staff seeming stressed at our arrival. We were sat down 15 minutes late and the food took over an hour to arrive, during which time we were not visited once by the staff...

「Solid choice for stays in Drake. AC in rooms. Fairly simple clean rooms. Saw Capuchin monkeys and other animals in the early morning and evening from the terrace overlooking the forest. Up the hill from the bay near restaurants.」

「Lovely little riverfront casitas. It’s a bit removed from restaurants and bars but it gives you the option to prepare your own meals or the hosts provide some food offerings as well. Everything is in great condition and well thought out. Our stay here was great. It was so relaxing going to sleep with the sounds of the river. 」
