Freshly caught lobsters and seafood, and the best gourmet breakfasts and dinners prepared by the owners. We shared laughs, stories, and karaoke in the evenings with other guests. They also coordinate tours and other activities on the beaches and surrounding islands. Also I recommend this wonderful place for a Pilates retreat - Yoga - Family reunion promotion, etc."

"The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. Although the road in is a bit of a challenge, we did not mond, we liked the somewhat remote location. It keeps the place low key and relaxing. The beach is beautiful, we did not even mind that it was too rough to swim. The restaurant has a great view and the food was great. It will be a go to place of we return to Panama."

"Ataraxia is a peaceful and beautiful place hidden between jungle and sea. Saw plenty of wild life both on land and at sea. The food was delicious and the owners and staff always teady to go the extra mile to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Would come back a hundred times if i could. Tucked away on one of the more quiet islands of the Bocas del Toro province in Panama, there is an ecolodge called 'Cocovivo'. Through a long chain of friends of friends, I discovered this little paradise where peacefulness is key. Originally set up as a co-working space, the owners of Cocovivo made this place a home away from home. Set up with the help of an indigenous Ngobe-Guble family, everything is ecological: yes, that means a compost toilet. If that does not convince you yet, then maybe the possibility to kayak surrounded by dolphins will. Or you can practice yoga on your stand-up paddleboard. Or jump from the diving board right in the Caribbean sea and explore the reef. Or go on a jungle walk and count all the sloths you can see. Or eat delicious food made with very very local ingredients. Or see the stars in the sky reflected in the water bioluminescent plankton. Who needs Bocas' party scene when you have the 'disco' lights above and underneath you right?
