I’m really impressed by this family run business in Iseltwald. This was the best hotel I found in this beautiful little village. The refund and change policy is very flexible which I appreciated because I did end up needing to change the date of my visit. The room was newly renovated. We were given the balcony room right next to the hotel sign. It had a breath taking view of the lake and the mountain. Breakfast was included which was so helpful since there aren’t many options around. And the food selection was so great. We had a wonderful breakfast there and ready to take on our journey. The only issue was during check in, I was asked if I’m from Switzerland. When I explained I live in the US, the staff wanted to see proof of my residency. I had to show my US ID other than my passport to check in eventually. This has never happened in other hotels. Maybe it was just miscommunication in due to different languages. I find it a little strange as there must be many foreign visitors coming here. All in all I liked my stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Iseltwald.

We absolutely loved our stay. I had visited Iseltwald in college and always said I’d return to stay at one of the hotels. Could not have had a better time with the staff of the Strandhotel taking such good care of us!

Simple and yet amazing
They stay overall was amazing due the amazing views and honeymoon emotions. The hotel is a 3 star hotel so for some Things maybe I expected too much as coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast is simple continental and I was surprised on Sunday I was told I could only take what I took the day before and nothing from the additional Sunday brunch unless I paid additional fee. The kitchen is good, we had a good lunch with good food well prepared. The room was a renovated one, clean and comfortable as we can expect from a 3 star hotel. I choose this hotel specifically as it was in the Netflix Korean drama “ Crash landing on you” as honeymoon surprise for my wife. Overall I think it was more expensive that I usually pay for a hotel even with 4 stars but than again, Switzerland is expensive anyway. The young woman in the reception was very friendly and supportive.

Very nice Place to stay. Very quiet and beautiful surrounding. However the rooms were very small as well as bathrooms. Internet connection was very slow. There was no air condition in the room

Great view, submontane location
Location is great, in a small village with a super view on lake, mountains etc. Hotel is ok although not modern, room rather small but clean and functional. What we really didn't like is the unfriendly staff, especially in the restaurant but also at the reception. Some people really don't know how to treat customers, amazing. The foreign staff, although not always with great conduct of the German language, is at least friendly and tries to make you feel welcome, but the Swiss staff is cold, distant, sometimes rude, under pressure, overstrained, or at least gives this impression. Some seem to have chosen the wrong job, they should rather work on something that makes them happy...

Stunning location
Iseltwald is a fantastic location to completely unwind, like a scene off a chocolate box. Hotel a little dated, perhaps due for an overhaul, but I would definitely stay there again. We booked a room with a balcony, which provided possibly the best view we've ever had from a hotel

Highly recommend!
We arrived after a near death experience cold, wet, tired and hungry and they were kind enough to keep their kitchen open for us. Despite the poor weather, our stay was excellent. I highly recommend to anyone that is looking to relax at a place with friendly people in a great location!

Excellent hotel in THE BEST LOCATION!
I'll start with the location: the place is located literally by the lake. If you get a room with lake view you will not regret a single pound! The view is breathtaking. The room in terms of size is more than ok, and cleaniness is average to good. Breakfast is average compared to European standards, but the lady that was serving was very friendly, which makes up for the simple breakfast. Parking spaces are enough to serve the hotel, so no problems on that front

Friendly, top quality in every respect
We left a piece of clothing, called, it had been found and they were glad to mail it in a box to a hotel at the end of our stay in the country, free of charge. This was clearly above and beyond the call.

Gem on the lake
Fabulous location in quiet, sleepy village on the lake side. Food was excellent, the shower could pin you to the wall. No one could be disappointed here.

Uns hats gefallen!
Sehr netter Empfang (Danke Nicole), das Zimmer war klein aber fein. Der Balkon war ebenfalls klein, dafür die Aussicht herrlich! Gegessen haben wie gut und der Ungarische Kellner war super. Die Lage am See ist perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

イゼルトバルトで休養したいので有れば🙃
この地域では間違いなくベストなホテル ただ、従業員不足なのか清掃も充分では無く レストランの朝食も果物や野菜類が殆ど無く 部屋も狭くて冷房や冷蔵庫も無い。 湯沸かしポットも3日目にようやく借りられた。(各部屋には準備無し、又保証金も必要) 韓国映画の撮影で有名になり、早朝から団体バスで見学に来る人が騒がしいのでこころつもりを。

Joya en la parte más recóndita del lago brienz
Reservamos a última hora, cuando ya no encontrábamos nada en lago brienz. Las fotos de la web desmerecen al hotel. El sitio es maravilloso, una joya de pueblo. Y el hotel es clásico pero remizado. Muy bien, gran desayuno y muy amables. Relación calidad precio he a para los caros estándares suizos

Rapport qualité-prix un peu surfait. Chambre désuète avec des matelas trop dures. Ventilation criarde à la salle de bain. Service à table un peu froid. Manque de fraîcheur dans l'assiette. Magnifique vue sur le lac à proximité immédiate du débarcadère.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön. Leider war mein Badezimmer sehr kalt und Frühstück gab es erst ab 8.30 Uhr was für Geschäftsreisende viel zu spät ist.

Während der Wintermonate gibt es bei uns erst ab 8.30 Uhr Frühstück. Wir haben keine Ski Touristen und sind auch kein Business Hotel. Daher ist es nicht nötig früher das Frühstück zu servieren. Auf Wunsch hätten wir dies natürlich gerne gemacht. Beim Check in wurde mitgeteilt, dass es sicher Kaffee ab 8.00 Uhr gibt. Das Frühstück hatten wir dann aber auch schon bereit. Der Gast erschien dann aber doch erst um 8.30 Uhr und hat die Rechnung bezahlt. Den Sommer durch haben wir bereits ab 7.30 Uhr Frühstück.

Passage d'une nuit en solo
Belle hôtel et belle situation sur le Brienzersee. Personnel souriant et accueillant à l'hôtel et au restaurant bilingue anglais-allemand. Un ponton à proximité pour les courageux qui souhaitent nager dans le lac après une chaude journée d'été. Pour les amateurs de route de montagne sinueuse, le col de Susten n'est pas très loin.

Ein Hotel das in die Jahre gekommen ist.
Das Hotel ist wohl am schönen Brienzersee gelegen, aber Preis-Leistung ist eindeutig zu hoch für ein 3 Stern Hotel. Im Badezimmer konnte man sich kaum umdrehen. beim Fester öffnen brökelte die Farbe ab.

호수 바로 앞의 멋진 호텔(hotel with a wonderful view)
뷰가 정말 멋진 호텔이었습니다. 호수가쪽 방을 달라고 하시는걸 추천드려요. 참고로 그 쪽 방은 더블인 것이 대부분인 듯 했어요. 조식이 참 잘 되어있구요, 화장실도 깨끗하고 직원분 영어도 잘하고 친절합니다. 엘리베이터 다소 좁긴 하지만 그래도 캐리어 넣고 이동하기 충분하구요. 방은 꽤 오래 전에 지은거라 새것같다는 느낌보다는 오래됐지만 깨끗하게 잘 유지되는 느낌이었습니다. 가족이 운영하는 호텔같았어요. 만족했습니다. 와이파이도 괜춘. Hotel with a great, wonderful view. Breakfast was nice and all the staffs working here were very kind. The room was clean and the elevator was comfortable to move the luggage upstairs.

Frühstückbuffet o.k., auf Bedienung (Kaffeebestellung) musste jedoch lange gewartet resp. diese zuerst gesucht werden. Anwesendes Reinigungspersonal hat Gäste einfach ignoriert (war nicht zuständig)
