"We loved this hotel! It was conveniently located in walking distance to the city shops, staff was very friendly, room was very clean & newly remodeled, & the decor was beautiful. Would recommend it to everyone."
"The Villa Carlton was lovely. Excellent location , right by Mirabell Palace/Gardens. Walkable to sites. The room was clean and decor was eclectic in and old world building"
"An easy 20 minute walk into historic Salzburg, 15 minutes walk from main train station, but bus stop 100m down the road if you opt for public transport to these locations. Helpful staff at front desk. Nil complaints about the room and bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend it, and return. Safe are for a solo female traveller."
"The hotel was very clean and spotless, off road parking was available which was very important for our group. The place itself is run/managed by nice people who made us feel very welcome, they were quite a cheerful bunch and all seemed happy to to working there which makes for a great atmosphere. The restaurant also served great food. We were on a motorcycle tour and unfortunately it poured with rain all the time do restricted our movement, staying at such a good hotel made all the difference."
"We stayed a week as family and using Salzburg as base to many tourists location. Good location, clean pand nice property. It also has free self service laundry machines/dryer which is useful."
"We stayed 2 nights in June and loved many things about this hotel. First, it was very close to the train station, which made coming and going with luggage very easy. They included a local bus pass, which was so nice, but we ended up walking to all the locations in Salzburg since they weren't that far from the hotel.
The rooms are small but adequate, and the beds are comfortable. The shower is like being in a rainforest with such a large shower head. There is also a hand-held wand that is very convenient, and we always had plenty of hot water.
We purchased the breakfast and were very glad we did. It was so convenient and delicious. There was a good variety, very fresh and of high quality.
The staff was very kind and accommodating. We were able to keep our luggage in their on-site lockers since we had a tour booked for the last day and would be back after check-out. We enjoyed our time at the Cocoon and would stay there again."
