The room smelled like cigarettes, but I was too tired to complain, after long hours of driving and just stayed in the room they gave me. Danielle (reception) was great, professional and very helpful.

The hotel is located in a lovely green, residential area just 15min away by foot from the city centre, with a big parking space.The internal decor is classic, with a Scottish countryside feel and a nice bar where you can enjoy some drinks and a selection of Highlands whiskeys. Ou room on the ground floor was spacious and very clean, the only downside, which wasn’t much of a big deal for us, was the windows facing the main road, so we had to keep the curtains shut all the time. It would be lovely if the windows on the ground floor could have a screen filter installed. The cherry on the cake was the staff, extremely kind, helpful and genuinely friendly, who made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you a Craigmonie Inverness team, you made us fall in love with Scotland, we will definitely come back.

Das Personal und Ambiente waren super. Das Hotel ist allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was man an den Zimmern deutlich merkt. Nichtsdestotrotz war unser Aufenthalt dort sehr schön und man konnte die Abende gut in der Lounge/Bar verbringen. Es gibt außerdem genügend Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel, sodass die Parkplatzsuche entfällt.

lovely hotel to stay in with a dog. Although dogs not alliwed in dining room the staff set up a special window table for us in an adjacent room. also an enclosed field for safe off-lead dog walks very close by.

The building itself looked clean and historical on the outside, but the inside is a bit run down. The staff person checking us in was quite friendly but that's where the 'nice' stuff ended. Our room was tiny and dirty and smelled like old cigarette smoke even though we always book a non-smoking room. The rug was quite stained and the furniture pretty banged up. The bathroom, however, was very clean (compared to the rest of the room), although the vanity light above the sink didn't work, nor did some of the outlets in the bedroom area. We booked this hotel because of the reviews and price, so I'm guessing we either just got very unlucky with our particular room, or others traveling in Scotland have lower thresholds for cleanliness. The sitting room off the lobby was cozy and offered games and puzzles. We did not utilize the bar area but saw others enjoying themselves. The stairwell leading to the pool was dark, dirty and a bit creepy. We did inform staff at check out about the light in the bathroom, the smoke smell and the fact that the hair dryer did not work, but she didn't write anything down so I'm assuming none of those things will get fixed. Lastly, their parking lot is open to anyone, so we had to pay for parking which I think is ridiculous for paying guests. Oh, and the picture depicted on this page isn't of an area we saw at all.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room and food were excellent. However we were disappointed to discover on arrival that we had to pay £6 per night to park our car in the hotels private car park. Not a huge sum of money obviously, but given that few people arrive on foot these days, it should have been included up front, in the room rate, not hidden somewhere in the small print.

Notre chambre sentait fortement le tabac froid. Je suis allée le signaler et nous avons eu une autre chambre supérieure. Nos amis ont constaté quant à eux que le ménage laissait a désirer. Venue was very comfortable, clean & warm, but the outstanding feature was the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. It’s a beautiful building, though showing some signs of age related heavy use, but this adds to the great character of the hotel. I will have no hesitation in returning.

Stayed for two nights over new year. Returned to hotel around 2am after a lovely evening with friends but the noise that went on in the hotel for hours after was unbearable. Couldn’t sleep for constant banging, doors being knocked on etc. Our room was also so hot which we’d brought to the attention of the receptionist in the afternoon who said they’d look at it- they managed to open the window which we then struggled to close at 2am. Mentioned again in the morning to be told the hot water system ran past that room hence why it was so hot. Pool was the best thing about our stay but I do see that they are trying to upgrade the hotel- dining room looked amazing. Didn’t eat so couldn’t comment. Sorry but wouldn’t rush back.
