"We had a great stay once we checked in. When we arrived, our room was ready, however, because it was before 1pm, the hotel wanted a £20 early check in fee. It took longer for them to tag our luggage and go to the lock up room than it would have taken to hand us the key. If the room wasn't ready, it would have been acceptable But the room was ready and vacant. Free coffee and tea in the lobby area was nice."

"Beautifully presented property in the heart of historic Edinburgh. Rooms are well presented, clean and modern. The public areas preserve the history of the building while updating with modern amenities. The staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is outstanding. The only thing to be aware of is that the parking (in a public building) is a reasonable distance away. Other than that this hotel is well worth a visit, we will return."

"This was a wonderful location to stay. My wife and I stayed in a private room with a bath on the 4th floor. We enjoyed the style in which the property was decorated. Having the bar downstairs was appreciated and the location on the Royal Mile could not be better. We were in the middle of everything but the noise from the street was never a problem. I would definitely stay here again."
