Icy Strait Point Tours

Formerly the home of the Hoonah Packing Company, now the cruise ship port for the city of Hoonah about a mile away. The indigenous people here are of the Tlingit tribe. The place is home now to local art & craft shops all owned by local people and catering to tourists who mainly come off cruise ships.

A restored Alaskan cannery on our seven day inner passage. The little Eskimo community of Hoonah was just a short shuttle ride into town.

This tiny abode is home to 700 people. A town, a village whatver you may call it, here is where you experience a world outside your own. The Alaskan summer offers an ideal kayak experience.
