Bars and clubs provide a taste of Ibiza’s world-renowned nightlife scene, while seafood restaurants, boutiques and a citadel show its other faces.

As the hub of the island’s capital, it’s no surprise that the Ibiza City Centre is a lively district filled with lights, music and, of course, golden beaches. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this buzzing district has countless bars and restaurants to complement the historic attractions of the walled Old Town quarter. Divide your time between the strands and the citadel in this diverse spot.

Wander up the steep, twisting alleys of the Dalt Vila Old Town area, which is bathed in the romantic glow of fairy lights at night. Admire the sculptures and paintings decorating the marvelous interior of the Ibiza Cathedral. Get an insight into the city’s ecological and sociological past at the Archaeological Museum of Ibiza next door.

See Ibiza Castle at the heart of Old Town and climb to the tops of the bastions for views across the sea. The Baluard de Sant Jaume and the Baluard de Sant Pere have exhibits about the history of the ramparts and weapons.

Head west beyond the walls to the Molí d’en Cantó military structure and the Necropolis del Puig des Molins, before arriving at the Platja de ses Figueretes, one of the city’s most popular beaches.

Visit the selection of shops and cafés and stay into the evening for a glorious sunset. You can also hang out by the charming fountain and pond in the scenic Parc de la Pau. At night, Ibiza City Centre comes alive with international DJs and enormous clubs.

The area occupies the heart of the city in the southeastern corner of its namesake island. It also incorporates the Dalt Vila Old Town district that stretches eastward. Travel around the island to see its other towns, including Sant Antoni de Portmany, Santa Eulària des Riu and Es Canar.

The Ibiza City Centre has something for everyone, from golden beaches and a historic citadel to nightclubs and restaurants.
