"Heima Holiday Homes are located just a short drive from town, and offers supreme serenity and great Mountain View. Self-checkin was hassle free. The home was fully furnished and equipped. Floor was heated, including bathroom floor. "This was the best stay in our entire trip of Iceland! Alina was an amazing host, very attentive and welcomed us in. She made sure we had all necessities taken care of. They had the option to have a true Viking experience with tasting and option to view all the horses on property. The horses did come right to the edge of the cabins and were able to wake up to them. Very very clean, warm cabin with amenities included. Will 100% be back!"

"No staff on-site! If you have a problem or issue with anything, you have no recourse. We had two water leaks coming from the ceiling! Don't bother trying to call any of the "contact phone numbers" provided, no one will answer. Don't bother emailing either, no will get back to you. This place was an absolute nightmare!"

"The hotel is new and beautiful. Ample parking outside and across the street from some shops, including grocery store. Our room (room 210) was very spacious and the bathroom was big with a huge tub. The breakfast spread was good with cereals, eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, pastries, etc. Definitely enough to fill you up in the morning. We also ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious (steak meal). We picked this spot to be closer to the attractions in the south/south east and to hopefully have a better chance of clear, dark skies to see the northern lights. Following the aurora app we drove about 10 minutes away and were able to capture the northern lights. This was such a nice hotel and great area to be in. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m back. "

"This hotel saved us during a bad snowstorm. It looks unassuming from outside, but the room was very comfortable and the food is excellent. They had the best lamb we had in Iceland! The breakfast was a good selection and also high quality. The staff was lovely and accommodating when we made a last minute reservation. We didn't have Northern Lights the night we were there, but this would be a great location for spotting them. "
