Lovely property with local family owners. Large, clean rooms, convenient location in the center of main attractions. We were greeted with 2 friendly dogs, owner’s son in law, homemade cake and snacks. Shower was comfortable, hot water plenty. Highly recommend.

We had the most amazing stay here and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The location was absolutely stunning, with a hot tub overlooking a beautiful waterfall — such a special experience and the perfect place to relax after exploring Iceland. Anna was an exceptional host and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We were even treated to homemade cake, which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. The accommodation itself had everything we needed, especially for cooking meals, and we loved having access to board games in the evenings which made the stay even more fun and cosy. Out of everywhere we stayed in Iceland, this was by far our favourite. A truly memorable stay and we would love to come back one day!

The cottage was beautiful. Gorgeous views of the lake and a waterfall behind. Incredible views of the northern lights when we were there. Excellent amenities. Delicious baked goods free on the reception and bonus lovely friendly dogs ran to greet us when we got there.

This place was amazing. The property has breathtaking scenery. The room was spacious and comfortable. The mini kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal and if you needed anything there was a communal kitchen with additional items. The host made cookies and cake each day. She stayed up to let us know about the bad weather. I highly recommend this lovely place.

Studio charmant, joliment décoré, avec une belle vue sur la mer. L’accueil est très chaleureux, avec en prime un délicieux gâteau maison offert à l’arrivée, une attention particulièrement appréciée. Le hot tub extérieur ainsi que le prêt de peignoirs ajoutent un vrai confort au séjour. Le lit est confortable et la salle de bain, originale et agréable. Pensez à prévoir de quoi manger pour le soir et le matin. Quelques petits détails pourraient toutefois être améliorés pour une expérience parfaite : le ménage pourrait être légèrement plus soigné (quelques miettes sous la table), le réfrigérateur mériterait un petit rafraîchissement et une meilleure fixation, et la batterie de cuisine pourrait être modernisée.

The Garage was absolutely one of our favorite stays of the trip. The location is amazing, just east of Seljalandsfoss, with a beautiful waterfall right behind the property and ocean views on the other side. The whole place felt majestic, peaceful, and full of Icelandic charm. We loved being able to hike up to the waterfall behind the property after enjoying dinner in our patio, with sheep and incredible scenery all around. It had so much character and felt really special. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space, and my daughter loved having her own little nook. The bathroom felt like you were in a cool cave with heated floors, and the kitchenette was great with plenty of supplies for cooking. The hosts were wonderful and had excellent communication. They even made cakes and had them out in the reception area for guests to enjoy, which was such a thoughtful touch. Between the animals, the scenery, the waterfall, and the cozy space, this was such a memorable stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed with my Mother at The Garage for a bonding experience amongst nature in Iceland- it did not disappoint! We could see the Ocean and Lagoon clearly from the windows. We loved relaxing in the hot tub during blustering winds and snow. The Host, Anna made a delicious chocolate cake which we enjoyed upon arrival. The view of the mountains and waterfall are spectacular (especially from the hot tub!) and her two dogs are friendly and playful-it was comforting for my heart missing my two dogs at home in Canada. Quick and easy drive to Vík (excursions) and Black Sand Beaches.
