"Room that we were in was located in a horrible area downstairs, once we entered room by entrance door there was lots of dust and debris, shower head was loose and ready to come off, being the handy man I was I screwed the shower head base back in, AC did work but took some time to get cold as it was a warm day, breakfast was ok but wish there was some sort of sausage or bacon even ham, too many flies in lobby with food, wish they also had milk for coffee not creamer and more variety of drinks, it’s was ok to stay but for price of room it should of been a bit more better, Iv stayed at motel 8”s that were cheaper and cleaner but this booking was a last minute thing fit to all hotels/motels sold out in the area as this was our last choice. I would not recommend this lodge to stay unless you are despite like me and my family were."
"Rooms and decoration are tired. We had room 148 which had a launderette across the hallway. No door fitted and a very noisy dryer which seemed to be used from 5 am in the morning. Breakfast was reasonable but not enough table and chairs which left some visitors waiting to be seated. On the plus side its location is fantastic for entrance into the park and has several amenities close by."
"terrific location right in the park. It's one of the few places where the guided tour I wanted would pick up and drop off, no need to try and find a parking space.
the vegetable curry for dinner was wonderful. I happened to sit next to a couple in the airport who had stayed there and they also raved about the curry."
"Rundown, dirty, smelly, cob webs literally everywhere, literally no parking,, it seemed everything was falling apart, smelt like mold, mildew, musky, had a deadbolt for safety that didn’t work, a chain lock that only had one end so it didn’t work, the bed was a brick and extremely uncomfortable!!!!
However, it’s very convenient as far as location to the park, convenient that the restaurant is connected, the food there and the staff were excellent, although overpriced. Even the restaurant was dirty, grimy, and cob webs everywhere, but it seemed very busy all day and night."
"Wonderful location just outside of SEKI. They've built a very humble, quiet, and relaxing location for locals and travelers. I highly recommend this if your goal is to have quick rest breaks. The staff were extremely kind and struck a balance being attentive and letting you have your space to take in the scenery."
"Very close to kings canyon NP. Hard to find such cheap place with private bath so close to the NP. These are really big houses split into smaller hotel-like rooms. Check Expedia messages on the day of arrival for details, as it took us quite some time to find the right door in the dark when we arrived as we had no cell connection thru the day in Sequoia. Expedia makes it hard to see the message (first emails, then have to login with the silly multi-factor authentication to see the mesage from host). it doesn't factor in that folks out in the wild may not get the messages."
