Our room was phenomenal and the proprietors, Joe and Courtney, we fabulous! It was very easy to communicate with them, they accommodated my food allergy, and they had helpful suggestions for things to do in town when it seemed like everything was closed mid-week. It was a peaceful and relaxing trip and we are looking forward to returning in the future!

A charming and cozy bed and breakfast!

I was visiting Hudson, NY for the first time. I enjoyed the small stores and restaurants along Warren Street but the thing that really makes me want to go back and visit again was my stay at Batterby House. The owners Courtney and Joe were warm and welcoming. The rooms at the Batterby House are all beautiful, fresh, and clean. It was the little touches that really impressed me. The locally sourced bath products, the complimentary snack bar, the cozy bed and soft sheets, and a delicious and substantial breakfast made my stay special. Of course I need to mention the vinyl album collection in each room and a turn table to play them on. It was nostalgic for me. I highly recommend staying at this lovely little gem in Hudson. Tell Courtney and Joe, Michelle says hi!

Great Choice

This is a great couple who cares about service. They prepare the most amazing breakfast and my only suggestion would be to shrink the portions. As two women we left sop much uneaten. Facilities were ample with great attention to comfort and care.

Beautifully decorated house with lovely details like claw-foot tubs and record players in the rooms. Breakfast was DELICIOUS—honestly better than many a brunch I’ve paid for in a restaurant. Very squishy, luxurious bedding. Claw foot tub was admittedly a little rickety to get into/out of. Could use a hand rail or better anchorage to the floor.

Super Inn Keepers, ++ Location, Amazing Breakfast

Title says a lot! Booked the king suite. Innkeepers go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is sensational and you won’t have to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Bed was super comfy. Room could use some touch ups - paint wise etc.

HOME FROM HOME

This place feels like home from home. Great location, lovely people, and Joe went the extra mile to cater for my fussy culinary tastes. LOVE all the bits and pieces that his wife Courtney has collected that give the place such personality. Lovely products in the bathroom. Quite expensive, but a really lovely break from NYC.

Our stay at the Batterby House could not have been better. Joe & Courtney are terrific hosts. The breakfasts were fabulous. Joe also created an alternate breakfast to address our food allergy. They do the little things right (and the big things right as well). Highly recommended. We'll be back.

The Batterby House was fantastic! We were in town for a wedding and had not been to Hudson previously. The owners / hosts chatted with us enthusiastically and gave us great recommendations (and made delicious breakfasts)! We would highly recommend this B&B to others.
