「We stopped in Geilo because of the way back to Oslo from Bergen. We knew nothing before arrival but we finally knew that it’s the great place for skiing. 「In between ski season and summer season catering for bus tours and us. Bar and restaurant closed. Electronic check in so no human to ask questions. A little out of town but we enjoyed the walk. Cleaners tried to help with our questions and the breakfast staff apologized for the chaos left by the bus tour. "Communication was slow and inefficient (they only replied a message in three days or so). Arrived late on the day and already told the camp site, then found that they didn’t provide the self check-in code as they thought payment was missing. Contacted hotels.com staff who was so nice to fix that. Upon checking in, the amenities were on a rather self service basis, That’s not too much of a problem, but we didn’t expect to put together even the beddings by ourselves by paying not a cheap amount of money. Used utensils had to be cleaned by ourselves and trash had to be disposed of by ourselves too. "
