There are toiletries taht are missing and every person should purchase them at reception. This is unsual in hotels. The building was smelling dirt and the facilities in the room were not very well maintained.

Disgusting place
Shocking, this place is an absolute dive. No working AC, toilets didn't work (flush broken). In a shabby apartment block that's hard to find. Absolutely don't waste time

It was a nice place to stay! The staff was friendly, people there staying is usually backpackers or travelers which was nice to interact! I would say the space is small and so minimalistic but has locker and feel safe.

家庭房張床夠大又舒服，如果住客要全黑環境睡覺，建議帶眼罩，當中面對洗手間張床關窗簾後還是透光，房間乾淨整潔，唯一問題是洗手間會發出異味，及沒有乾濕分離。 地理位置優越，下次到港還是會選擇居住。

For the price it was totally unacceptable. The room was tiny the toilet doubles as a shower area. I would not recommend this to anyone

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly, but it is way too cramped with no windows/natural lighting. I guess it is something that is expected in HK, but I would have thought for the price you may get something a bit more pleasant.

Hostels have their own vibe, this one, or at least the 10-12 m2 room I stayed with 5 others is not too bad, but lacks the value for money compared to e.g. Yes Inn I stayed a while ago nearby, being one third the rate and at least double the standard with card operated lockers, more spacious rooms and more friendly staff and guests around. I'd do my best to book ahead not to miss Yes Inn or similar and stay away from Check Inn.

Enjoyed the stay! ❤️
Overall, I had an amazing experience with the hostel they were kind and friendly the common room looks really great but i didn’t have much time to mingle as i have travelled with my family and we were always on the go. The location was amazing near all kinds of transportation so it was really convenient. Just remember to bring your own towels 😁

This was a great place to stay for a traveler on a budget. Easy to find, centrally located, clean with friendly staff. For a first time international traveler it was a safe comfortable location. Definitely recommend

It was hard to find a good hostel in HK like in other parts of Asia. This one wasn’t so great, wouldn’t do it again if we went back to HK. The dorm room smelled really muggy and gross and the mattresses were hard. Small rooms but that’s expected in HK. Bathrooms were ok but the hair dryer that you have to request from the front desk barely works which is a problem if you’re a girl washing your hair at night. Took forever to dry my thin hair. We had HORRIBLE dorm mates that didn’t let us sleep for 3 nights. We asked the front desk on the second night if we could move to another room to get some sleep and they wouldn’t let us even though there were empty beds that night in other rooms. The dorm room and bathroom are also very cold. We went in December and the last thing you want after a long day in the cold is to come home to a cold room/bathroom. Showers are warm but the sinks only have freezing water which is rough when you wash your face in the morning. Location is great.

Loved staying in this hostel so much I ended up extending my stay by 2 weeks. I met lots of interesting people, the common area is comfortable and spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is pretty basic but there's a fridge and a microwave and boiling water. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and everything works pretty well. Only real issue is there's a few leaks in the ceiling of the bathroom in my dorm room, but it's not a huge problem and there's plenty of other bathrooms in the place that are fine. The location is excellent, 5 minute walk to Wan Chai MTR. Definitely recommend staying here, especially if you're travelling by yourself and want to be able to make new friends easily.

It's just a few minutes away from the Wan Chai MTR station, making it very accessible. The staff are very friendly and the accommodation is comfortable given the price. Highly recommended for short stays

Staff perfectly friendly, common area super, includes a small kitchen which is well equipped and very clean. Hostel offers tours, I took the hiking tour up the Dragon's back which was really a great experience. Our guide Kala was very helpful, friendly and easy-going. My room was extremely small without a window, but I guess that's Hongkong for you.

I'm an ESL teacher in the mainland, and was in HK for a visa run. The Check Inn HK - Hostel is in a great location, being a 5 minute walk away from the visa offices. It's situated on major bus routes (airport), and quite close to the subway. I was very pleased with the room, bed, and AC - all of them were clean & efficient. The staff were great, very informative/helpful, and excellent English! I'll definitely stay here again, and happy to recommend this place to anyone else.
