「Very cosy , warm and clean, lovely hosts」

「Booked on the spur of the moment. Excellent price. Fabulous clean room. Large bathroom with corner bath and powerful shower. Lots of hot water, clean white fluffy towels. We upgraded to King size bed, patio doors to outside decked veranda. Fabulous in the warm weather. Next door to the pub and restaurant. Excellent food, good menu both evening meal and breakfast. Couples only at the moment. Well worth it. Would definitely stay again. 」

「Our stay at Burnhopeside Hall was one of our most memorable ever. Christine, our hostess, was delightful and helpful. The room was spacious and the surroundings could not have been more grand. This is a stately old home, full of beautiful furniture and dishes, near sheep pastures and the river. 「This was our second stay at 40 winks and it was even better! Warn welcome, beautiful decor, delicious breakfast. Host went out of his way to make our visit run smoothly as we were here for a graduation ceremony. We will be back. Didn’t have time to use the new bar so we must return!! 」

「Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent.
