「Breakfast is the problem. We were told that Sunday there is no breakfast, which is not written anywhere on the website; so we had to have - and pay for - breakfast somewhere else. Then, when we had breakfast the other days, we were asked to order the evening before (not written on Expedia as well) and what we were given was barely enough. We all had to spend extra money to reach a very minimum bearable breakfast - as we are people who were in Peterborough to work, not holiday.」

Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. Suffice to say, when I booked I was not expecting to be staying in a bedroom in someone’s house. Unable to get a refund dispute the proof I supplied that the booking was misrepresented. 「1) Checkin details were not provided - I had to contact Hotels.com and wait ±1hr outside in the windy street to get these. Checkin was 4pm but I couldnt get in until 90 mins later. 2) Once inside the building; Entrance hall filthy with full black bags in corner, wall staining, filthy carpets, laundry cages strewn. No-one around at all, felt very unsafe. 3) Once inside the flat, it felt like someone had just left in a rush, but I couldnt be sure until I had gone through the apartment. Spooky....

「Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes.」

「The property is attractive, room was lovely and clean, grounds were appealing and we had a room with French doors leading outside with a small table and chairs outside which was great for breakfast etc. There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal which is a bonus if you fancy self catering. Adam was helpful and informative. Very quiet and relaxing location and perfect for visiting the area although you do need a car.」
