Like someone mentioned, the hotel corridor smells, and the price is a bit on the expensive side. But the rooms are nice. And dinner / breakfast (included) makes it worth it: it's crazy the amount of food options, maybe around 50? All food is labeled in Japanese and English. The onsen is Ok (only tried the big one, which wasn't that big).
Staying in the island, you can explore it by foot or bycicle. The staff mentioned it'd be one hour by foot, but it took between 2 and 3 hours, a really really good hike (going all the way to the vista point, including parts where bikes aren't allowed): you see bunnies at the most inaccessible places, and there are parts where the vegetation is thick, so you wonder if you're supposed to be there or not. Lots of fun.
I really recommend spending the night at the hotel.
