"We were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely our stay was. The staff were friendly and abundant, always trying to be helpful. Seriously, everyone was so nice! There was one young staffer, who was pretty stern with the rule of putting in your room service order the night before strictly before 9 PM, as we tried to put our order in it 9:04 PM and it was too late. So just be sure that you put your order in the night before on time! We were still able to call in our order in the morning and it came just fine. We also had breakfast at the Grandview restaurant and our server Casey was exceptionally kind and attentive. He tried to help us figure out a couple of Vegan options as well. The views were wonderful, and the rooms were so nice in the lodge. We liked hooking up the Bluetooth to the bathroom mirror, the delicious nespresso, coffee, light up closet, warm fireplace, hot tub, which was indoors, but the glass doors were wide open which made you almost feel like you were outside. This is a great place! The staff are all truly wonderful!"

"I was only there for one night everything was clean. The only problem that I had was the shower I am 73 and a little wobbly at some times and there are no bars in your shower to hang on to and also the tub floor was very slippery. Shower bars would be helpful "

"Beautiful view of the mountains! And the motel/casino is spacious, clean, and top notch! Lots of restaurants, pool spa, and very close to Main Street and attractions in Cripple Creek. "

"There was a poo stain on the bed when I pulled back comforter. Top sheet was put on sideways. Texted the hotel with pictures and got no reply- took 2 more texts and they said they would provide a room credit, none came. Coffee in lobby is not worth using, restaurant is torn apart, and nobody has ever been staffing this place in the 3 times I've stayed. People at the bar couldn't get ahold of anyone to even get in their room. Not sure who's even running it. Disappointed because the building itself is so rad. I wish they would properly manage it. "

"Don't believe the photo of slot machines with Gold King Mountain Inn as they are not on site. You have to go to their sister property to gamble. Not handy when you wanted to stay on property with minor kiddos but be assessable to them and still gamble. Heated pool was COLD! The smell of marijuana was throughout the hotel, stronger when you turned on the fan in the bathroom. Disappointing stay."
